Neuer is overrated as f8ck
As feightck? What is this, Irish?
@El_Duderino- Ha, that was quality.
Come on goonners,Carzola in his best form so far
Anyone who doesn't say ozils is not the best midfielder in the world is a fuxking liar
@Polandspring Arsenal was the bitch the entire time. If onlt wasn't for the lucky goal.. Cech is the shit!
@Polandspring- His languid style gives the impression he isn't trying but the fact is, he can produce magic in an instant which only the very best players can do. Granted, we (Arsenal fans) want him to be consistently great but his stats- the ones that matter ie chances created, are superb.
@Polandspring Ozil is not the best, one match prove nothing AND I'M NOT A LIAR IN ANY WAY.
@undertaker LOL, Read his comment properly
@undertaker That's his point, read his comment again → Anyone who DOESN'T say Özil is NOT the best is a liar :)
Past 3 seasons Arsenal 2-0 Bayern, Man United 2-1 Wolfsburg, Gladbach 1-2 Man City, Everton 4-1 Wolfsburg, Wolfsburg 0-2 Everton, Schalke 0-5 Chelsea, Chelsea 1-1 Schalke, Bayern 1-0 Man City, Man City 3-2 Bayern, Dortmund 2-0 Arsenal, Arsenal 2-0 Dortmund, Man United 4-2 Levekusen, Levekusen 0-5 Man United, Man City 1-3 Bayern, Bayern 2-3 Man City, Schalke 0-3 Chelsea, Chelsea 3-0 Schalke, Arsenal 1-2 Dortmund, Dortmund 0-1 Arsenal, Arsenal 0-2 Bayern, Bayern 1-1 Arsenal, Man United 1-1 Bayern, Bayern 3-1 Man United. 14 wins Premier League, 3 draws, 4 wins Bundesliga FACT only Bayern and Dortmund are capable of beating English teams. If it wasn't for Bayern, results would be embarrassing for BL.
For me, starting Alaba at the back was a poor decision. He's a better fullback than Bernat, and Javi Martinez a better centre back than Alaba. Alaba at CB is fine in games at home against much weaker opposition, but in games like this, make him full back and make Javi Martinez centre back. Was a little too attacking minded for me. That's just my opinion.
@FootballFanatic I don't understand why Pep plays Bernat in important fixtures.
Too drunk and delirious I've forgotten the insightful comment i wanted to make. COYG Can't stand Neuer and his worshipers so I'm glad it was his mistake that turned the match.
Bellerin redeemed himself after what Costa did to him huh?
It's funny how fanboys now talking about destroying at allianz arena like they will play themselves. Forgot about 0-4?))
@shamilprog lol. Suddenly bayern bandwagon and favourite tag is dissapearing in a thin air.
I like Guardiola, but I don't think him and Bayern are a good fit. Bayern needs a manager who can establish a clear, consistent strong starting lineup with all the depth they have, they need their best players playing in their best positions (i.e no more Alaba at CB or Lahm at CDM, both are the best at their postiions in . Guardiola would probably be better off with a lower level team where the lack of personnel would give him an excuse to experiment
@madridistagunner It's like... their first defeat in the season. For now they have just won every displays. How can you say manager doesnt fit ???!!! O_O
congratulations to arsenal deserved win,,,, great team work
bayern are still weak at their wings.muller is not good in that position.bayern didn't have a good cb because of injuries.bayern weren't quite ready to play against arsenal.
Where is "Ozil is invisible in big games" brigade now?
@NotBiased Here I am...Özil scored a goal in the 93 rd minute. The 92 minutes before he played as usual in big games.
@neumi17 Because this is exactly the kind of player he is. He's not someone who'd dictate the game from the middle but he'd make and score goals. Don't know why people see him as a David Silva clone when he's probably the opposite of him.
@NotBiased- Exactly, we have Cazorla to dictate the game when required. Oezil is a proper #10.
@neumi17 you don't understand football. You're blind to ozils work during the 92 minutes before the goal. Additionally that goal is actually important since in champions league there's goal differentials. You truly don't understand football
@NotBiased and you're NotBiased so your opinion is nonpartisan and more valuable.
The last game against Olympiakos will be crucial. At home Bayern won't offer any gifts again.
Im the only one that prredicted 2-0 win for Arsenal here, well done to me
@goonergunner- Predict 5-0 for Arsenal at the Allianz then please!
@SteveHyland 1-3
Arsenal certainly knows how to surprise its critics when it matters most...nothing gives a good result as team motivation.brilliant performance." up gunners!!! "
Neuer's blooper in 1st goal was so funny XD
Kudos to Arsenal. Huge win and can now have a bit of a breathing space. Cazorla and Cech excellent as always.
Deserved win for Arsenal.Bayern missed on scoring on their chances and looked a bit sleepy. Costa was great while his power was lasting whereas Lewandowski sucked up front. Arsenal wasn`t great either but did just enough to get the win thanx to their keeper and a bit of luck as well.
@neumi17 What about that save from Neuer from Walcott's header? Thanks to YOUR keeper, mate.
@What4 Yeah, that was great. Not so much the other scene, therefore bayern lost ...
@What4 Actually, although he made some really good saves he did make a terrible mistake on Giroud's goal. I would say the goalkeepers were even.
Told you Bayern are overrated. They beat a few crap teams and it is suddenly established that they are the best thing since sliced bread. Similar thing has happened in the past two seasons they were annihilated every time they met a 'proper' team.
@NotBiased Arsenal played well enough to win. They were solid at the back and good at counter attacking. That doesn't make Bayern overrated, they are still 1st placed at the CL group and Bundesliga. I won't say they lost due to injuried/unfit players as they managed to grap some good wins with basically the same squad they played today. Both teams had plenty of chances and both goalkeepers made World Class saves. It could have went either way.
@felipe9525 It really couldn't. Its not like Cech was pulling off saves after saves and 3-4 shots hit the post. Even before the two goals Arsenal had the best chances.
@NotBiased Well, even though Bayern didn`t have their most creativ day they were still ahead in shots, scoring chances, corners, possession, pass successs, dribbles, aerials and key passes. So basically at everything ! Cech made five ! big saves. Not bad for a game away from home...
@neumi17 Spot on. Who needs more goals when you can have more possession , dribbles , aerials duels won and key passes...
@neumi17 sorry, but you're failing. yes, Bayern had more shots but: Arsenal Had more shots on goal Arsenal had 4 big chances, while Bayern had 2. Arsenal had 7 shots in prime areas, to Bayern's 3 (prime areas is within the 18yd box.
@neumi17 "Big chances" is just a random stat. Most of Cech's saves were pretty routine.
@NotBiased True. All Bayern do is destroy petty teams in Germany.
Brilliant. If we can play like this consistently we can win the league.
@What4 You mean with 30 % possession and crowding up in your own penalty area towait for a few counter attacks ? Yeah, why not. If the other teams would always attack ...
@neumi17 nope.. he means creating way better chances than the team who had 70% possesion and 600 passes
@MiguelSuave Exactly, if Bayern keep playing with 70% possession, taking speculative shots from distance, and being susceptible to counter-attacks, then the Bundesliga will no longer be their playground.
@What4 Consistent has never been our strong point
LOL Bundesliga owned again by PL!
@richccfc What do you mean by " again " ? Check out the statistics over the last five years or 20 games and think again ...
@neumi17 Past 3 seasons Arsenal 2-0 Bayern, Man United 2-1 Wolfsburg, Gladbach 1-2 Man City, Everton 4-1 Wolfsburg, Wolfsburg 0-2 Everton, Schalke 0-5 Chelsea, Chelsea 1-1 Schalke, Bayern 1-0 Man City, Man City 3-2 Bayern, Dortmund 2-0 Arsenal, Arsenal 2-0 Dortmund, Man United 4-2 Levekusen, Levekusen 0-5 Man United, Man City 1-3 Bayern, Bayern 2-3 Man City, Schalke 0-3 Chelsea, Chelsea 3-0 Schalke, Arsenal 1-2 Dortmund, Dortmund 0-1 Arsenal, Arsenal 0-2 Bayern, Bayern 1-1 Arsenal, Man United 1-1 Bayern, Bayern 3-1 Man United. 14 wins Premier League, 3 draws, 4 wins Bundesliga FACT only Bayern and Dortmund are capable of beating English teams. If it wasn't for Bayern, results would be embarrassing for BL.
@neumi17 you mean past 3 seasons.. PL won 14, drawn 3, BL won 4? YOU think again.
This is what happens when Wenger is not stubborn and plays with logical tactics. On the opposite Guardiola is too stubborn and too loyal to his tactics. It appears that he doesn't learn from his mistakes. Sometimes you don't get a result by just dominating the other team.
0 points against Zagreb and Olympiakos. 3 points against Bayern. Just typical Arsenal.
@shamilprog Well at least you never get bored!
@shamilprog- Try 24 years of supporting them. Cardiac age of about 70.
This was the first leg, gunners. Looking forward to annihilate you at Allianz-Arena :-P
@BeautifulLoser- Ha. Possibly, although we're unbeaten there for an aggregate of 3-1.
Petr Cech be like: 5 goals in 9 minutes. No, not heard !
@AndreyNosatii MOTM, straight up.
Bayern didnt show up.They have 600+ passes but not many scoring chances.And there was only one natural CB.Where was Martinez?Congrats Arsenal.Im a bit dissapointed about lewy's form today.There was also some selfishness on the field by bayern.When they have to pass,they dont pass.
Arsernal is IMPRESSIVE, given the amount of possession that they have!
This is what happens when Wenger is not stubborn and play a logical tactic. Very poor performance from Bayern. Guardiola is too stubborn and too loyal to his philosophy. Getting result is not about dominating the other team.
Is Alaba really considered one of the best players in the world in his position? Looked like a 3 year old playing football for the first time in his life.
@NotBiased- At LB he is very good but in the centre, not so.
@SteveHyland Pretty good in midfield too.
Bayern should have realised that they were playing in the Champions League and not in a non existent Bundesliga.
Fantastic win. A master-class in how to play counter-attacking football against Bayern Munich. To keep a clean sheet against that attack and restrict them to 2, maybe 3 genuine chances in the game is a great effort. Makes the ridiculous comments at the bottom of this page look even more ridiculous.
@SteveHyland Fantastic win ? I don`t know, it it hadn`t been for Neuers mistake the game would have probably ended 0-0. Both keepers were great and Lewandowski didn`t have a good day. But it could have been also the other way around... Anyway, congratulations for the win. Now Arsenal has a realistic chance to get into the knock of stages.
@neumi17- How about the 2 saves from Neuer in the first half (Oezil and Walcott) which only the top 1% of GKs in the world would be able to make? That was while restricting Bayern to efforts which only would've gone in had Cech actually made mistakes. We could've realistically gone in at HT at 2-0.
@SteveHyland Wenger did a great job tonight. Arsenal played very good. Old School tactics beat Bayern. But the goals weren't brilliant at all even to say they were very lucky. There was only one problem for bayern tonight, and that is creativity. If they are not creative enough to create dangerous chances, then they don't win. The battle may be lost, but the war is not over. Auf Gehts and will see more of this on november 4th.
@postzegele LOL
@SteveHyland Agreed, you have to give a lot of credit to Arsenal's back line today. Stayed organized for the full 90. Brilliant really.
@HandofGod- Mertesacker's shepherding of the most in-form striker in the world can't be understated either. He should still start for Germany along with Lahm but I understand both retiring while they still have years at the top level.
LOL.. 2-0!! Suck on that punkass fanboys
@MiguelSuave ? Fanboys?
Well I'll be damned...
I must say, it's so great to see Bayern lose.
best seller of the round for sure :)
How i love it.. all those Fanboys writing "0-5 incoming" will probably never show their faces again.. I guess BPL > Bundesliga again
@MiguelSuave Bundesliga is still light years better, anyone that saw the game could see that Bayern easily controlled the majority of the game. The props really should go to the Arsenal back line. They hung in there the whole game and left a chance for the attack. Brilliant defensive show!
@HandofGod LOL u idiot! Premier league has won 14 games, drawn 3 and lost only 4 the past three seasons. PL Dominates Bundesliga FACT.
@richccfc As of recent times the order of power goes: Spain then Germany then England... very hard to argue against that. Look at finals history and it's very clear. Don't kid yourself son.
@HandofGod look at results 'son'.. Everton (11 PL) beat Wolfsburg (2nd BL) twice last year... Chelsea smacked Schalke 5-0 away easily, United won 5-0 away to Levekusen too! haha. Only Bayern and Dortmund have beaten English sides recently.. for a combined 4 wins.. both those teams also lost to English counter parts in the process. Cold hard facts 14 PL wins, 3 draws, 4 BL wins... that's very definitive. PL>>> (lightyears)>> BL.
@HandofGod- I disagree. Munich are better but the rest of the Bundesliga suck compared to the top 4 EPL sides. If there was a joint English-German top division, Bayern would win, the next 4 places would be taken by EPL sides then 6th would be Dortmund. The lack of possession in this game for us wasn't all Bayern brilliance incidentally. The blueprint was exactly the same as the Man City game (bizarrely a 2-0 win). We were always going to have less of the ball but there was a conscious effort to not go committing players allowing space for Bayern to pass into.
@SteveHyland This man speaks truth.
@MiguelSuave Isn't hindsight great?! Nobody predicted this result. Not even you.
@mikers135 2-1 was second most rated score for this match so result didn't come out of the blue...
@mikers135 On a good day Arsenal can beat any team in the world
@MiguelSuave Providing the other team are having a bad day.
@MiguelSuave Those days are really rare though ...
@neumi17 Not recently. (MU +BM)
Arsenal do love their jammy goals. Don't care how it comes though.
Giroud. Gotta love it!
Hand of God!
@felipe9525 you said it!
@felipe9525 you said it!
Just to show people the importance of dribbling. If only Arsenal has a Messi, this game would've been a lot easier. Having players that can't dribble through players make it hard against the high pressuring Bayern..
@Macchonk But Cazorla and Sanchez are brilliant when playing in small space. Don't you agree? Both had four dribbles today.
@Macchonk Sanchez loves dribbling even too much, he just can't give up the ball!
@Macchonk Arsenal is the team with the most dribbles in PL. They also have generally more successful dribbles than Barcelona...
@neumi17 Lmao if that's the dribble team in the EPL, the EPL has to be shit when it comes to dribbling. I just thought from this game, that they absolutely couldn't handle the pressure.
@Macchonk- That is a retarded comment. We won. If we can't handle the pressure yet still win, using deductive logic- how would you describe Bayern?
@SteveHyland Brah, yeah Arsenal won, but they were no way the better team. You won of a lucky goal, WOO, so good.
Brainless from Sanchez. Its now twice he has given the ball away in a dangerous position.
A very typical game of Özil again against big teams. He is invisible...
@neumi17- Ha.
@SteveHyland What do you mean with " ha " ? He scored a goalbut the rest of the game he sucked big time as usual. He just scored a goal, thats it !
@neumi17- It was the typical thing I do on here. Slag a player off and he scores in that same game. I don't do it anymore unless I want him to score (ie against Spurs ;-) )
Both teams could have scored couple of goals so far, both keepers have made some great saves. Arsenal's chances have been slightly better, if only Walcott were a true goal scorer!
Douglas Costa skill vs Bellerin was lvl God.
giroud on the bench? but some arsenal fans claim he is a top 5 striker in the EPL. LOL
@edemex He isn't even top 5 in London.
I'm really sleepy. I hope i dont doze off in between
@asinko I'm sure Ozil is thinking the same!
@asinko You must be super sleepy if you are able to take a nap during this match!
@Castle I wrote this comment and slept around 63rd minute and i just woke up and saw this. Shocked!
@Castle Second half wasn't as interesting, luckily we saw some goals.
@asinko If you're an Arsenal fan, better hope that you do.
It is an english site so it`s strange that are more people here favoring Bayern...
@neumi17 pretty sure you were meant to say 'venue' no?
@neumi17 bayern is favor because they are far superior team. the language has nothing to do.
@neumi17 english site but members are from around the world.
Line up : P. Cech - Bellerin , Mertesacker , Koscielny , Monreal - Santi Cazorla , Coquelin - Ramsey , Özil , A. Sanchez - Walcott Neuer - Lahm , J. Boateng , Alaba , Juan Bernat - Xabi Alonso - T. Müller , Thiago , Vidal , Douglas Costa - Lewandowski
@neumi17 costa has been such an great find
Alexis Sanchez and Petr Cech will stop this german beast.
@AndreyNosatii I don't think.
@Kedonojo Per Mertesacker does not agree with you, he can stop Lewandowski.
the score won't be too high but Bayern will destroy Arsenal in the field.
@SozSaeed I am not to shure about destroying thembut since Costa is playing and with Coman on the bench it is possible to get with a win out of this game, 2-1 or so ... I am pretty shure that Özil won`t matter in this game since he is always hiding in big ones, especially against german teams .
@neumi17 i wasn't talking about score just in game stats and things but it seems i will be wrong if second half continue like this.
@SozSaeed that was a good call, bayern still has to be very weary of the counter though... gunners have been a pass away several times now
Dont dislike me before this match ends up, but i smell 0-1 for B.Munich
1-3
Arsenal 1-2 Bayern
1-3
Bayern are tough bastards, they can score 2-3 goals in a blink. I guess first 30 mins to be open game with lots of scoring chases for both teams since they have energy to press and counter. However, after that Arsenal may have to drop deeper and give the ball (even more) to Bayern (and hope they lead by then). After that Bayern could find it hard to score IF they are without Coman and especially Costa. And if Sanchez gets to scoring positions Gunners might, and only might, win. 2-1 for Arsenal against all the odds!
bayern is stronger than ever. arsenal underestimated the first two games. so... arsenal should try to win the Euro League
This is the Best Bayern of the Century. The previous Bayerns have been a copy cat of this bayern . Whatever happened in the past in the Past best Bayern you can expect a 2 times better Bayern . Do you really expect Arsenal to end Bayern 17th game winning streak . The real opponents of Bayern are still not recognized or Born. I wouldn't be shocked Arsenal loosing 0-5 . Wenger has always been trusted to take his team to a winning place but stilled failed . Not once but many many times . Still have Hope in Wenger ? Best bet is OV35 .
@njamimaranga U're so Dumb dude
@njamimaranga- The 2012/13 Bayern still hold that title until this side can win the CL. The season doesn't finish after 15 or 20 games. I think this Bayern WILL win this year's CL but they actually need to do so before anyone claims they're even as good as that quality 2012/13 side under Heynckes imo.
@SteveHyland Favourites dont always win. They were fav to win 2014 UCL when Real Madrid annihilated them at AllianzA.
@asinko na so
@njamimaranga hyped ! Real Madrid with fully fit squad can beat bayern
@kummerspeck It's well known Bayern, Barca and Real are on the level of their own. However, it's unusual top teams are fully fit when they meet at CL. Last two seasons Bayern have had many key players injured and it seems to keep happening with them. Both Benitez and Guardiola like to rotate, though. That could be important in final stages of this competition.
@kummerspeck Also Barca.
arsen(L)wenger! what! bayern!!! it is not calling arrogance from bayern's fans it is just a fact to be polished by Lewandowski-Muller! 3-1 bayern !!!
watch out for costa. he is the fastest player in the world on the first 10 m
bayern is unbeatable at the moment. this has nothing to do with arrogance. you probably should watch some bayern games. prediction: 0:3
@meycon Watched some Bayern games. They're boring compared to the Arsenal.
@meycon bahaha
Too much arrogance from Bayern fans. Disrespecting the opposition could be very painful. COYG!
@ramsey SEE WHAT I MEAN!!!???
@ramsey As an avid Bayern fan, I must admit the masses seem very arrogant. Humility is key I think and having class. Besides, it would behoove us to realize that Arsenal is no Augsburg. Serious time right now.
@Stevus- Nicely put.
@SteveHyland SEE?? That arrogance as if we are unbeatable. Arsenal is no Augsburg. We'll be back though, Mia San Mia.
@Stevus- Yep, the unbiased people- the bookmakers, had a 1-1 draw the favourite score and a 1-0 Bayern win as the second choice. I thought Bayern would win but not a 5 or 6-0 etc.
2-1
Glory glory Arsenal
Arsenal 1 Bayern Munich 3 First goalscorer Robert Lewandowski
@jasonpatrickpritchard He scored in Kos pocket
Arsenal is under pressure, so be afraid of them in these situations. 2-0 for the gunners #coyg
@goonergunner- Nice.
@goonergunner Good call sir. Bayern fans 'unliked' your comment.
@goonergunner i wanna see those who unliked my comment
@goonergunner great one
Which team is better for betting .. ?
bayern win 2-0 motm muller
Arsenal - Bayern 1:3
Bayern sells recently one match when in the same group vs English team. So :)
@koziol.mutant sell MEANS sell, LEARN IT :) I don't use it without meaning it, great job by Neuer :).
This match will be tough for Bayern to win tonight, Arsenal are desperate not to go three in a row but living space at the back will be a problem.
Arsenal draw or win this game. Drawing result should be satisfy for Bayern. I think the score should be 1:1 or 2:1.
although we won last 12 matches doesn't mean we'll win this, we need to really play at our highest level. Hope, that may help to rate these PL teams little lower
it's more like seeing zero points after four games
@khadar i see 4 tbh
I've got a feeling that Arsenal will win this....... But I would'nt bet my money on it!
For some reason this whole time I thought this was a traveled match for Arsenal... that changes things. Gunners with the half point is not a bad take at all!
I don't see any team beating Bayern at the moment.
@CirdomAkul Then you're blind
@hellreaper We will get back to this in 12 hours. Auf Gehts
@hellreaper maybe you're?
@kummerspeck You're just another Bayern fan who will defend your own club with or without reason...you watch too much bundesliga matches to realize that there are another strong teams around the europe that can beat Bayern. Go ahead and use your weapon, dislike the comment lol
This will be a great match up esp since Arsenal will give it all or they go out. Tactics will be straightforward. Only down to players now
Bayern are in a great form, i dont see them losing this.
@pulverizer okey
If Arsenal cant win its done for them in the UCL already, but Bayern are way too strong atm especially with Lewa and Müller partnership. 1-3
Alexis & Koscielny played at the weekend against a team we should be able to beat with the 2nd choice players in those positions (no offence to our training-ground neighbours). It suggests Wenger is concentrating on the league because with Chelsea's poor start and key injuries to City, he sees we have the best chance in a decade. I don't mind that, and Wenger wont give up completely until we're officially out. We need Sanchez, Oezil, Cazorla, Coquelin AND the defence to play close to their best in order to win. That in itself is a tough ask, purely in terms of probability, even tougher given the mileage in Alexis' legs. We need dynamism against this Bayern team. We'll have 40% of the ball or less so putting Ramsey RW wont cut it for counters I'm afraid. I think Pep will play 4 at the back, not 3, and I hope Chamberlain starts to exploit space left by Alaba. Bellerin's positioning needs to be spot-on or he will be skinned. Bayern are the best at finding space left by wandering players.
The result of this game depends more on how we play than Bayern. You know Bayern will play well, have most of the ball against most teams in the world and create chances. Our typical game-plan in the CL against average or poor teams (Monaco, Zagreb, Olympiakos...) has been defend with a high line, commit too many players in attack and get countered against fairly easily. Needless to say if we have play that way against the best team in the world, it'll be a cricket score. If we have a deeper line, shift players rather than leave gaps in defence, have Coqeulin sitting in front a la de Rossi and look to counter with the dynamic players and top passers we have, I'm confident we can score 2 or even 3 times against a team who's best defender is Boateng. He looked shaky as anything in the 0-2 loss in 2014 and hasn't got any better. We started that game well, we need the same again and everything else to be close to perfect but only an idiot would dismiss Arsenal. Pep wont be and never has.
@SteveHyland Good analysis, our quick attacks could be poison for Bayern. But I don't think we should rely purely on counter (if that's what you meant). Arsenal are at their best when attacking with numbers. That doesn't mean it couldn't happen fast, our one touch game can be very effective.
@Castle- Cheers. As it turned out, it was predominantly counter attacks. That was at least 80% intentional although I don't like when we do that. We also looked cautious, as was understandable. Hopefully we're more 'free' at the Allianz.
@SteveHyland It was more of counter attacks than I hoped, but we had few times were we kept the ball while longer and that looked good as long as Sanchez didn't try too much. It's safer to stay organized and keep focus on defending but there's still room for improvement in our attacking game. Away game could be harder, though.
why is costa doubtful.
Probably 1X
@hellreaper probably not...
I want to see goals. Dont care who wins!
1-1
@watfordAlbert cred ca bate arsenal.
kingsley is back
Bayern are obviously favorites but dont get me wrong, Sanchez, Walcott and Ozil can pentrate a no so world class defense of Bayern, I dont see Bayern losing to any German team but this Arsenal side when focuded and determined can beat any team on their day. Man City beat Bayern at home and Aguero run rings around them! Sanchez is in such a form he can make Lahm look like league one defender! Im going for an open match, Arsenal to play without any pressure as they know if they are out now, the title is 1 or 2 buys away in January and that can secure Arsenal the title in this fine form. if Arsenal play to full potential, they will beat Bayern at home. i have a slight doubt Arsene Wenger will play a weaker XI and just see how they fare as there's minimum chances of Arsenal going thorugh and instead they can focus at home! COYG!
@albgunn Agree, if Arsenal shows their best level, I think they can easily open poor Bayern defense.
@alex.danilov.3 I don't think they can " easily " open their defense... Bundesliga is rated higher than PL so why would they get more goals from Arsenal than from any other German team? I think the opposite is true, if Arsenal doesn't show their best level and plays just good football it won't be enough to get anything out of that game...
@neumi17- Bundesliga is only rated higher than the prem in the co-efficient because of Bayern and a couple of good years from Dortmund. Arsenal have easily the best attack of anybody Bayern have faced thus far this season. Augsberg scored, Wolfsburg scored, Hoffenheim scored before Bayern were down to 10. Are you claiming any of those teams have either the attackers we have- Alexis, Cazorla, Oezil or as good or better a defence (when they're set up properly)? Granted, we have to play very well but if we do so then yes we could easily open up this Bayern defence.
@SteveHyland bayern is the toughest opponent arsenal had in seasons.
@glenbayern- Offensively, maybe- although in 2012/13 when, as you know, Bayern won the CL having beaten Arsenal on the way through, we only lost on away goals having had the whole 2nd half of the first leg (something like 65%+ of the ball even though Bayern were trying to get out) and restricted Bayern to largely speculative efforts in the 2nd leg. That was probably a better team than this one (walloped Barcelona 7-0 on the way) and although I don't pretend this will be anything but a difficult game, if we lose it wont be because of Bayern's "amazing" defence but their genuinely amazing attack. We at least will provide an offensive test for Bayern which absolutely no team in the Bundesliga can.... providing we play well which is a 50-50 chance in Europe unfortunately.
hard to predict as Bayern have lost most of its key wingers in Gotze, robbery, kingsley. We all saw how hard they have to play last week against Bremen without the wings. 50/50 chance (bayern fan)
I think Bayern or Barca will win treble this season
@Kedonojo barca? No way, not this season.
@Footballfanatic66 They can win Treble every season , Why not this year ? they started playing in January and beat everybody , too early to make the call
Sure, arsenal is going to give a tough fight. We have to control Sanchez and Ozil, otherwise it could be difficult to win (FCBayern fan)
These are the types of matches that end up stunners-- when no one believes that a decent side stands a chance. I can't say that Arsenal will win here but I do think a draw is very possible. I like Gunners with the half point here.
don't whether wenger will rotate or not, if he does arsenal is going to get a beating, if he doesn't arsenal is going to get a beating after trying very hard. All I know bayern were not in top quality this week so they must be looking forward towards this match.
bayern isnt man utd.just saying.
@glenbayern yes they didn't score too but they conceded two not three
Arsenal is a losers club. All sad souls with no direction stumble upon them. Its karma i suppose.
@asinko What a tacky, plastic despicable 'glory hunter' fan. Go support Chelsea or Real Madrid next, if you just tag along purely for success.
@asinko- Or those who were born, raised and/or live in the borough of Islington? Just a thought....
@asinko It's better to be loyal to your club than be just a glory hunter who doesn't even understand a concept of loyalty. For example, ten years ago Barca didn't have nearly as much fans as today (although Ronaldinho was amaizing!). Why didn't these new fans of Barca support the club then?
mesut ozil:"we aren't afraid of bayern".be very afraid m8
@glenbayern Afraid of what? A bully, German-Man United that just hoover up all the best talent in their league. Without your best diver Robben you aren't all that.
i wont be surprised if final score shows numbers like 0 and 8
@fervour21 It's football, anything can happen. 0:6
@radaner or 3-0
This game 1-3, in Munich 4-1 for Bayern = After 4 games zero points for Arsenal ...
@neumi17 1-3 and we have 2-0 so 4-1 will be 0-3 , Cool for Betting tips bro
@neumi17 of course it matters! If Arsenal fail to win any of the two matches against Bayern, and one of Olympiakos or zagreb win both of their matches then Arsenal are OUT. Example of total points by the end of match 4(scenario where Bayern and Zagreb win both matches): Bayern 12 Zagreb 9 Olympiakos 3 Arsenal 0 Long story short, if Arsenal want to make things easier for themselves, they must beat bayern at least once, if they fail to in both matches, then bye bye.
@neumi17 It doesnt matter. One of Olympiakos or Zagreb needs to beat them as well to knock em out
@pulverizer of course it matters! If Arsenal fail to win any of the two matches against Bayern, and one of Olympiakos or zagreb win both of their matches then Arsenal are OUT. I wish for every goal Bayern score, they can take 1 million euro worth of broadcasting revenue from these over inflated premier league teams.
@Beastador CS for ARsenal
@Beastador You won the award for 'world's most stupid comment'.
Arsenal don't really care about champions league. PL matches are more important and prestigious, while Bayern have no opponents or any tough matches in Bundesliga. I predict Bayern to win against an unmotivated Arsenal.
@futballstar You're right. Arsenal cares so much about playing their domestic league and thus put so much effort into winning it that the last time they were champions was in 2004...
@futballstar lol you gunners are pathetic. Just accept your team is sh*t and can never win a champions league ever. Dont sprout nonsense for your incompetance.
@John_Wick Hahaha yes we want win CL not buy it.
Over 2.5 goals Is the best prediction for match.
feel sorry for arsenal
@fervour21 dont worry mate,next year arsenal might be better.
