Zenit
Gent
- Oleg Shatov is the only injury concern for Zenit ahead of the reception of Gent on Tuesday. This could mean Igor Smolnikov is promoted further up field with Alexander Anyukov swapped to right-back and Domenico Criscito coming in on the left of Zenit's four-man defence.
- Gent will still be without Erik Johansson and will now miss Thomas Foket and Brecht Dejaegere, who were both sent off in their 1-1 draw with Lyon in gameweek 1.
- Benito Raman and Rami Gerhson could come in for the suspended duo here. Thomas Matton could also earn a start here.

Zenit win, Hulk MOTM.
Fayzulin is fully out injured, Hulk and Anyukov both picked up knocks after Spartak but Hulk is 100% playing against Gent according to AVB.
Zenit started the domestic season very well but it all began to go downhill very quickly, 4th place after 10 games is not a sign of strength. With AVB going a bit AWOL they have again begun to resemble a team of individuals, possibly contributing heavily to the poor confidence of their emotional keeper Yuri Lodygin. Against Valencia they managed to keep scoring to compensate for his mistakes and it was much the same case against Spartak but they are treading a fine line. Gent therefore have a somewhat increased chance to get a result but the individual quality at Zenit is still probably going to get them through this game. Witsel and particularly Lombaerts will make sure they do not underestimate Gent.
