Team News

  • Sochaux are going to struggle in defence. With Carlao out for 10 days with a hamstring issue they are already weak in the squad.
  • Add to that the fact for Mathieu Peybernes is suspended after a red card and the bad luck continues.
  • Jeremie Brechet came in to play centre-back last time out and it looks like he will plug the gap for now.
  • It will be interesting to see if Kevin Anin returns to the squad this week after he went AWOL last week.
  • Midfielder Blaise Matuidi will most likely miss all of PSG's games before the winter break.
  • Guillaume Hoarau, Neeskens Kebano and Diego Lugano have all returned to training and could feature this weekend.

Prediction

  • Since the 2-1 win over Lyon at the Stade Auguste Bonal, Sochaux have failed to win any of the following three games. It seems unlikely that it would be possible for them to pull out another fantastic performance against another one of the title contenders.
  • The away side will try and make it two wins in a row as they try to follow up the win over Auxerre with another three points to get the Marseille defeat off their mind. It remains to be seen how much the off-field shenanigans will affect performances on the pitch.
  • The away side have a fantastic record in this fixture. In the last 10 games they have won seven times, which is not the best news for the home team going into this game.
  • Although there is a positive in that Sochaux’s last win came last season, as they beat PSG 3-1 at home. Goals from Modibo Maigi, Brown Ideye and Damien Perquis put the home side up 3-0 before half time.
  • WHOSCORED.COM Predicts: PSG win 2-0
