Team News

  • Paul Lasne will serve a one game suspension after a picking up two yellows against Nice.
  • Emerse Fae announced his retirement this week after an ongoing leg injury.
  • Didier Digard has a hamstring injury and will miss the game.
  • Also missing will be Franck Dja Djedje as he is suspended.
  • Injured during the cup game against Dijon, Nemanja Pejcinovic will be missing from the Nice defence for three to six weeks with a thigh strain.
  • Nice will be without Kafoumba Coulibaly, Lloyd Palun, Eric Mouloungui and Drissa Diakite as they are playing at the African Cup of Nations.

Prediction

  • A massive game over in Corsica as Ajaccio have the chance to make it five wins from five and increase the gap from the teams at the bottom. Before the winter break everyone had Ajaccio labelled as certainties to go down but their recent run of four victories - the best in their top flight history - has seen the islanders climb out of the relegation zone.
  • Nice, on the other hand, have endured a slide straight to the bottom of the table. Impressive wins against Rennes and Valenciennes plus the epic 4-4 draw away at Lille have shown that Rene Marsiglia's side can achieve results. Unfortunately these performances are few and far between.
  • Ajaccio will start as favourites, the Stade Francois Coty was a fortress for Olivier Pantaloni's side in their promotion season. With the side now playing well Nice will find it a hard place to pick up any sort of points.
  • PREDICTION: Ajaccio win 2-0
