Team News

  • Franck Dumas has made no changes to the playing squad for the visit of Auxerre.
  • Joseph Yanick Mbone and Molla Wague have not been included in the squad.
  • Founier continued to makes changes again at the weekend, so there seems no reason again for the starting XI not to change.
  • The defensive midfield duo seems to be set, with Georges Mandjeck and Delvin Ndinga. It is further forward that changes will be made.
  • Olivier Kapo got the nod at the weekend but expect Roy Contout or Anthony Le Tallec to take his place midweek. Alain Traore could force his way in to the team, but possibly only onto the bench.

Prediction

  • The relegation six pointers seem to come thick and fast for these two sides. With both sides drawing at the weekend, this re-arranged clash is probably even more vital than it was at the start of February.
  • Auxerre could climb out of the relegation zone and above Caen if Laurent Founier’s side can claim all three points. On the other hand, the home side could move as high as 10th with a win. The bottom half of the table won’t become any clearer regardless of the result.
  • Caen’s hearts were broken by Sidney Govou in the 93rd minute as Evian stole a point at the Stade Michel d’Orano, the home fans will expect a reaction and a positive one at that. Against Auxerre they could just get it.
