Team News

  • Javier Pastore will be out for 3-4 weeks with a muscle tear. Kevin Gameiro is set to start up front.
  • Thiago Motta will have to make do with making his debut from the bench.
  • New signing Alex could come in for Diego Lugano in defence.
  • Saka Tiene is away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations.
  • After injuring his thigh in training Cedric Barbosa returned to training on Thursday and could feature.
  • Guillaume Lacour returned to training this week, he has been out since the start of the season.
  • Fabrice Ehret (ankle), Bertrand Laquait (leg) and Thomas Kahlenberg will all miss out.
  • Evian will be without Saber Khelifa and Jonathan Mensah as they are playing at the African Cup of Nations.

Prediction

  • Another tricky test for Carlo Ancelotti and his new look PSG side. Evian will not provide a fierce attacking threat but under Paulo Correa they will be very hard to break down. Under the Italian, PSG have struggled to find their fluid best.
  • With Javier Pastore out there has been more pressure on Nene and Jeremy Menez to provide that creative spark. It will be interesting to see where Thiago Motta fits into Ancelotti's plans.
  • Evian will set up to attack on the break. The choice between Sidney Govou and Daniel Wass will be a tough one. The extra pace from Wass could make all the difference. If Evian can keep the score tight it could be a frustrating night in the Parc des Princes.
  • PREDICTION: PSG win 2-0
