Team News

  • With Loic Remy and Mathieu Valbuena returning off the bench against Ajaccio, expect them to start this weekend against Dijon.
  • Andre-Pierre Gignac is still out with a groin injury and will not play any part.
  • Andre Ayew's shoulder injury is keeping him out for another week. He decided to put off surgery and will wait till the end of the season.
  • There are no new injuries or suspension worries for Patrice Carteron, who announced this 20 man squad on Thursday:
  • Reynet - Meite, Zarour, Bamba, Souprayen, Paulle, Varrault - Marcq, Kumordzi, Sankharé, Bauthéac, Kakuta, Guerbert, Corgnet, Baradji, Berenguer - Kone, Jovial, Thil
  • There are no first team players that are not on that list.

Prediction

  • Dijon came close to a point against PSG and now they have a chance to strike at Marseille at a time when they could be suffering from a European hangover. Although they progressed to the last eight of the Champions League, they still lost at Inter. That makes it five defeats in a row for OM.
  • The question is can Dijon take advantage of this, they do have players of great ability but you can’t escape the fact that they are 18th in Ligue 1. Corgnet, Jovial and Co. need to step up and prove they belong in this league and what better place to do it than in the Velodrome.
