Team News

  • Caen will be without Aurelien Montaroup and Gregory Proment through suspension. Jeremy Vandam will return though.
  • Nicolas Seube or Mollo Wague will take Proment’s place in the midfield.
  • Romain Hamouma is set to miss four weeks and will certainly miss Saturday's game.
  • Although they were only able pick up a point against Dijon the Bordeaux side is pretty settled.
  • Yoan Gourcuff could return but might have to do with a place on the bench, apart from that this is Francis Gillot’s best XI.
  • Gregory Sertic will miss the game through injury.

Prediction

  • Caen have only ever lost once to Bordeaux at the Stade Michel d’Orano. That defeat only came a few years ago, back in 2009 when Yoan Gouffran headed past Vincent Plante and silenced the home crowd.
  • The home side are slowly slipping towards Ligue 2. They haven’t won a game in the last six and have only scored two goals in that time.
  • If Bordeaux can keep the game level and use their attacking talents to benefit themselves it could be a great chance for Les Girondins to make a last gasp run for Europa League football.
