Team News

  • Samuel Bouhours will miss out after his red card against Rennes. Anthony Lippini should deputise.

  • Slovan Privat could replace Modibo Maiga up front and Abdul Camara should take Roudet's place.
  • Eric Hely is also without Sebastien Corchia and Vincent Nogueira through injury.
  • Into the squad come Charlie Davies and Rafael Dias plus youngsters King Osanga and Jerome Roussillon.
  • Edouard Butin, Jeremie Brechet, Damien Perquis and Steven Mouyokolo are still unavailable through injury.

Prediction

  • The word massive just isn't big enough for this game. Sochaux are only one point behind Ajaccio and both teams come into this game off the back of poor results. The winner moves into a position of safety and gives themselves a massive boost with three games to go.
  • Losing to Rennes was all but confirmed when they were reduced to 10 men - they had held the Breton side off well until the near the end, so there were some positives to be taken for Olivier Pantaloni.
  • Sochaux, on the other hand, will find it very hard to find a positive from Sunday's performance. Three goals conceded, two men sent off and an all round poor performance all over the pitch. Eric Hely needs to pick up his side fast if they are to stay in Ligue 1.
  • We have to go back to 2005 for the last time these two sides met at the Stade Francois Coty and it was the away side that was successful. Mevlut Erding’s 93rd minute goal separated the two sides.
