Team News
- Villa may be low on confidence after losing a 2-0 lead at Arsenal to go out of the FA Cup but McLeish won't be able to have James Collins and Marc Albrighton back available.
- The latter could replace Carlos Cuellar at the back, though the Spaniard could potentially get the nod over Alan Hutton on the right, who has failed to impress since his move from Spurs.
- McLeish may stick with the same line-up in attacking positions with Charles N'Zogbia, another player who hasn't shown his best form for Villa, still bothered by a heel problem, though he will be back in the squad. Youngsters Gardner and Bannan will hope to start in midfield.
- A number of new signings may have come at just the right time for Mark Hughes as he has a lot of players who are doubtful for the trip to Villa through injury.

Prediction
- In the reverse fixture between QPR and Villa, Barry Bannan put the visitors ahead from the spot before Richard Dunne scored an own goal with practically the last kick of the game to earn Rangers a point.
- Villa's home record has been abysmal of late, picking up 1 point from a possible 15 having lost just once at Villa Park in the 6 games beforehand. In the meantime QPR have picked up more wins on the road than they have at home and will fancy their chances in this one.
- A number of injury problems for the away side could be their undoing, though Onuoha and Taiwo should sure up the back four somewhat and Macheda has a knack of scoring late goals against Villa.

I'm really surprised that he didnt sure up in the centre of the park. They've now got an abundance of strikers (which they needed) but if anything happens to Derry or Barton theyll be looking a little thin in CM
Hughes did the right thing in bringing in some experieced Premiership stikers, Zamora and Cisse, they could make all the difference tonight and especially over the season

No matter whether QPR have made some new signings or not, they won;t have gelled as a team yet and Villa have the experience to win this game. Bent to get number 100 and Villa to win 2-0
Villa have an awful home record of late and qpr will be looking to exploit this. I think the new boys could bring a breath of fresh air into the team and cause trouble for the villians
villa were so unlucky against arsenal and i think that could have knocked their confidenmce going into tonights game. qpr could easily get all 3 points tonight
It's hard not to notice the difference in goals in the two starting lineups. Hopefully Mark Hughes' new signings can change that for his side.
