  • Despite the media circus surrounding John Terry's trial the centre-back could return to fitness and face United, with manager Andre Villas-Boas having shown very little faith in Gary Cahill as of yet.
  • Ashley Cole is suspended and a big blow for the hosts, with Jose Bosingwa potentially lining up in an unfamiliar left-back role with Ivanovic on the right.
  • Frank Lampard and Mikel are still doubtful, meaning Romeu should keep his place in a midfield trio that could welcome back Michael Essien with Ramires also sidelined.

  • Chelsea are certainly no title rival to United this season but will be keen to exact revenge on the champions after a 3-1 defeat earlier in the campaign having perhaps deserved more from a game in which we saw the best and worst of Fernando Torres.

    It'll be a game played down one-flank, Mata and Bosingwa v Valencia and Smalling. Both Midfielders should see a lot of the ball and the game will be decided on whether their opposite numbers can contain them
