Team News

  • Chris Brunt and Zoltan Gera are both still sidelined, with the former hoping to return to action in the coming weeks, while Thomas, Scharner and Jones have all returned to training.
  • Steven Reid made his comeback from injury in midweek and could start ahead of Gabriel Tamas at right-back.
  • Shane Long may not be fit for the weekend's game but will hope to at least make the squad, meaning Odemwingie could keep his place up front.
  • Brendan Rodgers should stick with the same side that were a little unlucky not to beat Chelsea last time out, with Sigurdsson keeping his place in midfield ahead of Agustien and McEachran.
  • Other than midfielder Ferry Bodde, the manager will be very pleased to have had very few real injury problems of late.

Prediction

  • West Brom were quiet in the transfer window, but that may work in Roy Hodgson's favour as the players may respond well to him putting his faith in them. They picked up an impressive win at Stoke before drawing at Fulham and seem to have turned a corner after 3 consecutive losses.
  • Swansea, meanwhile, were impressive as ever hosting Chelsea this week, and were unlucky to drop two points in the dying minutes.
  • However, they are a much better side at home than on the road - they boast the Premier League's worst away record, and took 10 games to find their first win. West Brom could well take advantage.
  • PREDICTION: West Brom win 2-1
