- After five draws in a row, Kaiserslautern need a home win to climb out of the relegation zone. The new signings will need some time to adapt, but certainly have the potential to help the club to stay in the Bundesliga.
- Cologne have lost their last three games in a row and the injury of Lukas Podolski does not make it any easier for them to improve that in the next few games. It remains to be seen how the team will be able to deal without him.
