Team News

  • Jannik Vestergaard and Marvin Compper could start at centre-back again, although Isaac Vorsah is an option for the starting line-up as well.
  • Andreas Beck returns from suspension and could replace Fabian Johnson at right-back.
  • Sejad Salihovic returns to the squad, after being left out the last two weeks, and could start in central midfield.
  • Srdjan Lakic is still injured and will most likely be replaced by Peniel Mlapa.
  • Cristian Molinaro and Gotoku Sakai compete for the spot at left-back.
  • Shinji Okazaki will miss several weeks due to injury. Timo Gebhart could replace him on the left wing.

Prediction

  • Hoffenheim lost their first game under manager Babbel against Bayern last weekend. It remains to be seen how the players will be able to recover from the heavy 1-7 defeat.
  • Stuttgart have only lost one of their last six Bundesliga games and are back on track. With their recent performances they have taken pressure off manager Labbadia. Vedad Ibisevic, who joined the team from Hoffenheim, is a promising winter signing and fits in the 4-2-3-1 system very well.
  • Expect this to become an intense game, given the proximity of the two clubs. Stuttgart are on slightly better form and Hoffenheim could lack some confidence after their heavy defeat at Bayern.

  • ibisevic kicks hopps ass :-)

  • Ibisevic my friend :D

  • No Okazaki (?) left side is very porous so I would not be so sure in Stuttgart. This is the best of Hoffenheim that they have and not the best of VbF Stutgart. So my prediction is 1 with lots of goals.
