Team News
Barcelona
Osasuna
- Barcelona only managed to draw against Milan in their Champions League opener after conceding a late goal from the Italians. Pep’s team didn’t play particularly well on Tuesday but will be hoping to bounce back against Osasuna.
- Guardiola didn’t line-up with an expected 3-4-3 system that worked so well against Villarreal but instead opted for an improvised defence with Busquets and Mascherano that didn’t worked so well. So, most likely, Barcelona will revert to a 3-4-3.
- Puyol played for the first time since last year's Champions League final against Manchester United and should start against Osasuna. However, Pique seems to still be one or two weeks away from making his return in defence.
- Iniesta suffered a tear on his femoral bicep of his left leg and he will be out of action for at least one month. Thiago should start in his place.
- Mendilibar’s team has played really well so far this season earning four points and a convincing victory against Sporting last week.
- Accuracy has been the only issue for this team as Osasuna has scored just 2 goals from 28 total shots, managing only 9 shots on target from those.
- Sergio picked up a muscle injury in the second half against Sporting and he could be out for at least one month.
- Even with Riesgo's fitness doubtful, we should see a goalkeeper change after Andres Fernández's big mistake led to Sporting's only goal. Ricardo, last year a mainstay starter, could see his first start of this season if Riesgo isn’t fit to play.
To win 8-0.
