Ukraine must choose between Artem Milvskiy, Andrey Voronin, Marko Devic and veteran Andrey Shevchenko to start up front, with their main threat coming from wide areas.
Youngsters Konoplyanka and, in particular, Yarmolenko will have a heavy creative burden on their shoulders in front of the home crowd, with a lot of pressure on them to produce at the age of 22.
Anatoliy Tymoshchuk will hope to protect a fragile backline, with right-back Gusev given a licence to support attacks occasionally.
Early indications suggest that Markus Rosenberg will get the nod over Johan Elmander up front, with key man Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing in a slightly withdrawn creative role for his country.
Toivonen will move back to a more familiar left sided role, while Rasmus Elm is likely to partner Kallstrom ahead of veteran Anders Svensson.
Sweden could name the same side that won their most recent friendly against Serbia, with Jonas Olsson missing out to Granqvist at the back.
Prediction
Both sides know that a win here may well be crucial to progressing to the quarter-finals with the co-hosts looking to get off to a winning start to give their fans something to cheer having gone into Group D as underdogs.
Sweden's full-backs will need to be on the top of their game against Ukraine's pacey wingers but the away side have more quality in other areas of the pitch and the most intriguing battle will perhaps be between Ibrahimovic, dropping deep, and Tymoshchuk.
If the Sweden captain can win that battle than they should win the game, and defeat here for either side could potentially end their tournament before it has even truly begun.
