Team News

  • Ludovic Obraniak is unavailable for Bordeaux with an ankle injury, but otherwise Francis Gilllot will be able to choose from a full squad of players.
  • Expect the likes of Marc Planus and Benoit Tremoulinas to return after being rested for the defeat at Montpellier last weekend.
  • Sochaux head into the clash still battling a host of injury problems.
  • Goalkeeper Pierrick Cros has a knee injury, as does defender Mathieu Peybernes, who will also miss out.
  • Thierry Doubai will miss much of the season with a knee ligament injury.
  • Jerome Roussillon has hamstring complaint, while Cedric Kante has a knee problem.
  • Edouard Butin, Sanjin Prcic, Joseph Lopy and Frederic Duplus are all still recovering from long term injuries.

Prediction

  • Bordeaux will hope to recover from a surprise defeat against Montpellier as they take on struggling Sochaux at the Stade Chaban Delmas.
  • A Remy Cabella strike was enough to condemn Les Girondins to defeat, whilst Sochaux will have been disappointed to suffer a 1-0 home reverse at the hands of an improving Nice outfit.
  • Les Lionceaux had been unbeaten in their last three encounters, and manager Eric Hely will be eager for his side to take something from a game with a Bordeaux side that has yet to lose at home this term.
  • Yoan Gouffran has been the star of the show for Francis Gillot's charges so far, netting six goals, and he will be confident of adding to that tally against a defence that has been less than solid during the campaign.
  • Expect Bordeaux to dominate proceedings and get their title challenge back on track with a comfortable win.
