Team News

  • Lille have almost a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of this contest, but will be without Florent Balmont, who is suspened following his red card against Marseille.
  • Ryan Mendes, who has a hamstring concern, and Franck Beria has a knee injury, but otherwise manager Rudi Garcia will be able to call on all of his big names as they aim to get back to winning ways.
  • There is some good news on the injury front for Bastia with both Ilan and Giles Cioni set to return.
  • Jerome Rothen is still a doubt with a thigh injury, while Sylvain Marchal is also struggling with a similar concern.
  • Francois Marque is still banned, while Anthony Modeste is suspended after being sent-off in the win over Lorient.

  • Lille take on Bastia for the second time in a week after easily dispatching of the Corsicans 3-0 in the Coupe de la Ligue in midweek.
  • Les Dogues fielded a much changed side for that encounter, but they will still be expected to triumph at the Grand Stade Metropole despite falling to a defeat at Marseille last weekend.
  • Bastia have been inconsistent in the league, but did manage to earn three points last time out as they overcame Lorient despite playing much of the contest with 10 men.
  • Still despite that triumph the Corscians have conceded a massive 33 goals in just 14 games, and with Lille high on confidence following their cup triumph, they should be able to cruise to another comfortable win.
