Team News

  • Lorient go into the game with a huge list of absentees.
  • Arnaud Le Lan has a knee injury and Maxime Baca is out with a thigh strain.
  • Bruno Ecuele Manga is still out after rupturing knee ligaments against Paris Saint-Germain in the opening game.
  • Mathieu Coutadeur is unavailable for at least the next three months with an ankle injury, while Lucas Mareque is set for a long stint on the sidelines due to a knee problem.
  • Remi Mulumba is still a doubt after missing the game with Bastia due to injury, but Lamine Gassama and Wesley Lautoa both return from suspension.
  • Toulouse have almost a fully fit squad to choose from but will be without Serge Aurier, who is set to miss out with a torn hamstring, however Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro is set to return from suspension.
  • Wissam Ben Yedder will be expected to continue up front after a magnificent display as Toulouse aim to surge into the upper echelons of the Ligue 1 table.

Prediction

  • Lorient welcome Toulouse to Brittany looking to recover from a disappointing defeat to Bastia last weekend.
  • Les Merlus were unable to overcome the Corsicans despite playing much of the contest with a man advantage. Toulouse by contrast stormed past title chasing Lyon thanks to Wissam Ben Yedder, who netted two goals in a thumping 3-0 win.
  • That double took Ben Yedder's goalscoring tally to nine for the current season, and manager Alain Casanova will look for the France u-21 international to continue his fine form against a Lorient defence that has struggled for consistency so far.
  • The home side will be set to have their hands full again on Sunday evening, as they face a Toulouse midfield that ran rampant in the victory over Lyon.
  • The likes of Moussa Sissoko, Etienne Capoue and Adrien Regattin should play a big part in game that La Tefece will be expected to dominate. Lorient have won just one of their last five league encounters and it is difficult to envisage them turning their luck around this weekend.
