- Spurs could have problems at left-back, as Kyle Naughton was seen after their Europa League draw with Lazio on crutches and with a protective boot on his foot. The youngster was caught by a heavy challenge late on in the game, and may struggle to make it back in time. With Assou-Ekotto still out with a knee injust, Andros Townsend could start at left back.
- Emmanuel Adebayor was ruled out of Spurs' Europa League tie against Lazio with a hamstring injury but stands a chance of being fit for the visit of QPR.
- Hugo Lloris impressed on his Spurs debut, keeping his side's first clean sheet of the season. However, AVB has shown no sign that he will be bringing the Frenchman in for Friedal.
- Andy Johnson has been ruled out for a significant portion of the season due to the serious knee injury he sustained against Chelsea.
- Fabio also went off injured in that game with a hamstring injury and has been confirmed as out of the trip to Spurs.
- Anton Ferdinand also misses out with a hamstring problem.
- New signing Stephane Mbia picked up a knock while on international duty and missed the Chelsea game as a result. It is unclear as of yet whether he will be available to play but he could be in line for his debut with Ferdinand missing.
- Diakite is still back in France for personal reasons and misses out again.
