Arsenal
- Both Joey O'Brien and Winston Reid were subbed off at QPR after picking up knocks but should be in contention to keep their places ahead of Tomkins and McCartney respectively.
- Andy Carroll is back fit and should return to the side in place of Carlton Cole up front.
- Elsewhere Allardyce is unlikely to make changes to the side that were impressive in victory on Monday night, with Vaz Te and Jarvis keeping their places on the wings.
- Abou Diaby suffered another injury setback at Chelsea last week and is likely to be out for a few weeks, though the club have been buoyed by the return to reserve team action of Wilshere and Frimpong, who are still unlikely to feature for a couple more weeks.
- Aaron Ramsey could come into the side in place of Oxlade-Chamberlain in an advanced position or deeper in place of Coquelin after a goalscoring cameo against Olympiakos.
- Gervinho will continue to lead the line after netting again in midweek, keeping Olivier Giroud on the sidelines, while Jenkinson continues to impress in the absence of Sagna, who is also nearing a comeback.
Well done to Arsenal! Biggest favorites to the title!
arteta and carzola are such a beast pairing...not sure about ramsey though. he's always trying to do too much, and isn't that good defensively. some times doing too much can change or win a match, but that doesn't come often
Oh Cazorla! Terrific little player. To have both Arteta and Cazorla in the same midfield is such a fantastic addition to Arsenal, and joy to watch for all Football fans around the world.
Big Friendly Giant, too. That works as well.
right so Cazorla hit the knuckler of Cristiano fame from open play. Good Lord that was beautiful.
not great for Arsenal so far...
Mertesacker and Giroud in!
