- With Vaz Te sidelined having dislocated his shoulder against Arsenal, Matty Taylor is likely to start on the opposite flank to Jarvis.
- Winston Reid is a doubt, with James Tomkins waiting in the wings, though the New Zealander should recover from a back problem in time to start.
- Andy Carroll will continue to lead the line, with captain Kevin Nolan the main support man from central areas and Diame and Noble operating from deeper positions.
- Nathaniel Clyne should be fit to return to the line-up after missing the Fulham game with a dead leg but Ramirez is likely to continue to miss out with a similar, yet more severe injury.
- James Ward-Prowse could return to a 5-man midfield from which the wide men of Lallana and Puncheon will be tasked with supporting lone striker Rickie Lambert.
- Elsewhere Yoshida should keep Jos Hooiveld out of the side with the Dutchman having scored two own goals and given away two penalties already this season.
