Team News
Tottenham
Stoke
- Gareth Bale has recovered from his hamstring injury and is fit to face Stoke, as was confirmed this week by head coach Andre Villas-Boas. He will replace Clint Dempsey on the left side of midfield.
- Steven Caulker may return at the heart of the Spurs defence to add some height to that part of the team after he sat out the win over Swansea last week.
- Emmanuel Adebayor was forced off injured in that match but should be available to partner Jermain Defoe up front, while Scott Parker is back from injury and will be needed at some point over the festive period, though probably not just yet.
- Andy Wilkinson was back in action in the draw with Everton last week and will continue at right-back with American Geoff Cameron continuing on the left in Marc Wilson's absence.
- Peter Crouch and Matthew Etherington should both face their former employers, though Michael Kightly may push the latter for the position on the left side of midfield.
- Charlie Adam is set to sit this one out after the recent death of his father.
Adam will be on compassionate leave. His father just passed away. Though I dislike him as a player, but my condolence to the Adam family.
amazing to think that the best defense in the league is stoke
Stoke. The draw kings
And yet Stoke's GD is +2. Would be interesting to see how many other squads (if any) were best in GA and worst in GF.

Favorite tottenham, but stoke best of draw
2-1 to spurs, defoe is on fire!
