Man City
Chelsea
- Roberto Mancini could have some issues in central midfield, where both Gareth Barry and Javi Garcia are doubts; the former missed the FA Cup win over Leeds while the latter was subbed off after an hour with a knock. However, at least one will be risked.
- Vincent Kompany should make his return from a calf injury that has kept him out for a couple of weeks, with Joleon Lescott dropping out.
- Mancini will be hoping that Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez can link up as they did against Leeds for the remainder of the season.
- Fernando Torres had a torrid night on Thursday as Chelsea scraped through the Europa League last 32 with an injury time goal from Eden Hazard, so he may be replaced by Demba Ba up front.
- Ivanovic, Luiz and Cole were all rested in midweek and will be fresh to face Man City.
- Mikel and Ramires could play in defensive midfield, though Frank Lampard will also be hopeful of a starting berth.
