Team News

  • With Stelios Malezas still not 100% fit, Juanan will get another chance at centre-back.
  • Andreas Lambertz will start in central midfield again, replacing the injured Oliver Fink.
  • If Robbie Kruse starts up front again, Du-Ri Cha could be an option on the right wing.
  • Paul Scharner returns from suspension but will start on the bench.
  • Dennis Aogo will replace the injured Marcell Jansen at left-back.
  • Marcus Berg could get a chance to start instead of Artjoms Rudnevs this week.

Prediction

  • Düsseldorf are seven games without a win in the Bundesliga and need to improve defensively again, as well as on the attack. With Stelios Malezas still out injured, manager Meier has no real options to make changes in the back four.
  • Hamburg have not played well on the attack in the last few games, but their defence has been solid and strong individual performances have decided several games in their favour. They need to improve their general build-up play, though.
  • Expect this to be a close game from the off. Hamburg will try to dominate possession, but they have to do more with it that they have done in recent weeks.
