Team News

  • At right-back, Daniel Carvajal returns from suspension to start instead of Sebastian Boenisch, who could switch to the left side.
  • Stefan Reinartz was suspended as well and returns to his position in defensive midfield with Jens Hegeler dropping to the bench.
  • Gonzalo Castro will most likely keep his spot on the right flank, with Sidney Sam having to wait for his chance to return.
  • Anderson is still out injured and will be replaced by winter signing Marco Russ.
  • In midfield, manager Veh is likely to keep the same players.
  • Karim Matmour and Olivier Occean compete for a spot up front.

Prediction

  • Leverkusen had a great first half of the season and they are second in the table, only behind Bayern. The new coaches, Hyypiä and Lewandowski, have done a great job so far.
  • Frankfurt have also started very well. After gaining promotion last season, they are currently fourth in the league and show no signs of tiredness so far.
  • Expect this to be a close game. Leverkusen should be slight favourites at home.
