Team News

  • Clemens Fritz is suspended for one game, so manager Schaaf will switch back to his usual 4-1-4-1 system with Zlatko Junuzovic in defensive midfield.
  • Aleksandar Ignjovski and Theodor Gebre Selassie compete for the spot at right-back.
  • On the left wing, Eljero Elia will most likely return to the starting line-up.
  • With Marko Arnautovic suspended as well, Mehmet Ekici could get another chance on the right wing.
  • Karim Haggui will replace the injured Mario Eggimann at centre-back.
  • New signing Sébastien Pocognoli was sent off on his debut last weekend and will miss the next three games. Christian Pander should replace him at left-back.
  • With Lars Stindl still injured, Jan Schlaudraff should get another chance on the right wing.
  • Mohammed Abdellaoue and Artur Sobiech compete for the spot up front alongside Mame Biram Diouf.

Prediction

  • Bremen have been in very poor form lately, with three losses in their last four games. It remains to be seen, if they can turn things around in another Northern derby against Hannover.
  • Hannover won their last game against in-form Wolfsburg and strengthened their squad well in the January transfer window. Injury problems might cost them consistency in the next few weeks though.
  • Expect this to be an open game with plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch.
