A second consecutive league defeat to Barcelona last weekend left Malaga three points off Betis in fourth place but they will be confident of getting back to winning ways against a Celta side that has only avoided defeat once on the road all season.
Manuel Pellegrini will recall Willy Caballero, Martin Demichelis, Isco and Joaquin after they were all rested for their second of three matches against Barca in 10 days on Wednesday.
Lucas Piazon could also make his debut after completing a six-month loan move from Chelsea earlier in the week.
Celta fell back to within a point of the bottom three as they lost a relegation battle with Espanyol last weekend.
Vadim Demidov and Jonny will continue to deputise for the injured Andres Tunez and Hugo Mallo in defence and despite defeat in Barcelona last weekend Paco Herrera is not expected to make any changes from the start.
Despite only drawing one of their two clashes with the league leaders this week, Malaga competed very well against Barca with almost two entirely different line-ups and that ability to rotate will help them as they look to get back to winning ways in league action on Saturday night.
Pellegrini's men also have the meanest defence in the league and if they can keep Iago Aspas quiet it is hard to see Celta finding goals from any other source. On the contrary, Malaga are beginning to get more significant contributions from the likes of Diego Buonanotte and Piazon should also add an extra spark once he has settled in.
With Isco and Joaquin also back this should be a routine home win.
