Sevilla suffered their first defeat of the season in dramatic circumstances last weekend as Barcelona scored twice in the final three minutes to win 3-2 at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
And that game could leave them without up to three of their normal five man midfield as Gary Medel and Ivan Rakitic are suspended, whilst Piotr Trochowski is doubtful with the knee injury that forced him off early on against the Catalans.
Medel's absence is likely to mean a first start for Geoffrey Kondogbia, whilst Rakitic's place will probably go to Manu del Moral.
Celta's performances have been impressive in recent weeks and they appear to be making Balaidos somewhat of a fortress with two wins from their last two home games.
Sevilla themselves have appeared much improved so far this season but the loss of Medel, Rakitic and possibly Trochowski will be major disruption, as they not only offer protection to the back four but Trochowski and Rakitic have been in good goalscoring form as well.
However, the visitors do still have the in-form duo of Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo and should cause enough problems going forward to get a point.
