A second consecutive win moved Getafe into seventh last weekend and they could even move into the Champions League places for a few hours at least should they manage to leapfrog Malaga with a win on Saturday afternoon.
Michel is suspended for the hosts so Luis Garcia will be forced into a least one change with Mehdi Lacen the favourite to come in.
Garcia though is expected to keep faith with the pairing of Alexis and Alberto Lopo at the back despite the return of David Abraham from injury, whilst Diego Castro is also expected to start once more from the bench.
Malaga returned to form with a bang as they hammered Valencia 4-0 last weekend, but they were far less convincing in losing to Segunda Division B side Cacerano in midweek and only sneaked through to the last-16 of the Copa del Rey on away goals.
Manuel Pellegrini will return though to the side that beat Los Che after giving a number of his regular starters a break on Tuesday.
Julio Baptista, Nacho Monreal and Sergio Sanchez are all nearing a comeback but won't be fit for the trip to Madrid.
Malaga looked like their early season selves in a scintillating display last weekend but both these sides have struggled with inconsistency so far this season and this is a very close match to call.
That inconsistency is defined by Getafe's home record to date of won three and lost three, but Garcia's men showed a steel they too often haven't in winning away at Espanyol and if they reproduce that quality alongside the undoubted talent they have in the side then they could easily take something from this fixture.
The hosts problem still remains in scoring goals so this should be a low scoring affair in which Malaga also wouldn't be too disheartened with a point.
