Malaga
- Sevilla secured a morale boosting 5-0 win away at Mallorca in the Copa del Rey in midweek with Alvaro Negredo continuing his fine form on his return from injury with two goals.
- The Spanish international will therefore take his place up front after coming on to score a last minute equaliser against Espanyol last weekend and Gary Medel also returns from suspension.
- Jose Antonio Reyes has been cleared to play too as his red card at the Cornella El Prat last weekend has been rightfully rescinded and Geoffrey Kondogbia is expected to keep his place in the absence of Piotr Trochowski and Hedwiges Maduro.
- Malaga got their league campaign back on track with only their second win in six league games, as they thrashed Granada 4-0 at La Rosaleda last weekend.
- Manuel Pellegrini may make one change from the side that started last time out though as Manuel Iturra could be recalled ahead of Francisco Portillo to offer greater protection to the back four.
- Nacho Monreal's return from injury was also key in Los Boquerones return to form and his partnership with Eliseu could be key if Pellegrini's men are to get their first away win in La Liga since the 1st of September.
