Valencia
- Granada got a badly needed win at Osasuna last time out to make their Christmas a little happier, but Juan Antonio Anquela has only one forward for the visit of Valencia this weekend.
- Odion Ighalo is assured of his place because Youssef El-Arabi and Darwin Machis are away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the South American U-20 Championships respectively, whilst Floro Flores' loan-deal from Udinese has been cut short due to disiciplinary problems.
- Toño is also expected to miss out once more with a toe injury so Roberto will continue in goal.
- Valencia also got a welcome three points at home to Getafe just before the break, but they must now start to push if they are to claim Champions League football once more at the end of the campaign.
- Sofiane Feghouli is also away with Algeria at the AFCON so Jonathan Viera could return to the side.
- Fernando Gago remains a doubt and the game comes too soon for Sergio Canales as he continues his comeback from a cruciate ligament injury.
