Giroud definitely isn't the kind of striker Arsenal need. With Walcott's pace & finishing(along with some decent positioning) he should be the striker. Arsenal isn't a team to go for aerial chances, they need a striker who can run after through balls and net them. Cazorla hasn't been his usual self lately, but then again, the team isn't running like it should(partially thanks to Wenger's French player fetish).

Giroud is not good enough. Sure, he's good in the air, but that's about it. His instincts are very often wrong, about when and how to pass, about when to shoot. And Theo's decision-making continues to be woeful - not letting Podolski shoot when he's offsides, not laying it off to Giroud to his left at the end. But hey, these players represent the compromises Arsenal makes in the second decade of the 21st century. Limited players with one outstanding quality: Theo with pace and finishing; Giroud with his aerial ability.

Make that 1-2.
But certainly Arsenal is a bit underrated. So are all the Bundesliga teams.

Arsenal has greater name recognition but Schalke are in much better form and have an equal if not superior squad. Cazorla is very good but I haven't been impressed by any other Arsenal players this year.
