Team News

  • A shift to 3 at the back was ditched at the weekend and after AC romped to a convincing 5-1 win over Chievo, Allegri may well stick with a 4-2-3-1 formation.
  • Kevin-Prince Boateng is back fit but may struggle to regain his place after the result at the weekend, with the likes of Bojan and Ambrosini starting ahead of him.
  • Urby Emanuelson and Stephan El Shaarawy should play wide of Pazzini, with Bojan or Boateng just behind the Italian.
  • Jeremy Toulalan and Nacho Monreal are nearing fitness but this game is likely to come too soon for the duo.
  • Eliseu will therefore continue to play at left-back, while Duda may replace Iturra in midfield and Santa Cruz will hope to start ahead of Saviola up front after a surprise defeat at the weekend.
  • Portillo could line up on the right, with Joaquin switching to the left and Isco deployed behind the central striker.

Prediction

  • Malaga have started their debut season in the Champions League superbly, but their impressive campaign to date hit a snag against Vallecano, while Milan's confidence will be at an all-time high in a disappointing season after they crushed Chievo at the weekend.
  • The Spaniard's are yet to concede a goal in Europe but the hosts' forwards finally seem to be beginning to click, so they would do well to come away from San Siro with another clean sheet.
  • The visitors may well drop their first points in the competition, happy to take a draw from this game to all but assure their progression, so Milan will look to take the game to the away side in pursuit of all three points.
