Team News

  • Daniel Carvajal and Xabi Alonso return from suspension.
  • It has been mooted in England that Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping Carlo Ancelotti will take over at Old Trafford following the sacking of David Moyes.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo played against Bayern Munich in midweek despite not being 100 per cent fit.
  • Gareth Bale did not recover from a fever in time to play against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
  • Nino had to sit out training on Wednesday due to a strain in his right hamstring.
  • Sisi and Lolo are sidelined with injury.

Prediction

  • Oriol Riera enters this game in great form with three goals in his last four outings. The Pamplonans will need their in-form striker at his best again if they are to end their terrible record at the Santiago Bernabeu of eight losses in their last eight visits.
  • Real Madrid are still fighting for La Liga and after Champions League and Copa del Rey football, they return to domestic action following a two week hiatus. The recent injury to Cristiano Ronaldo has not stopped Real Madrid's charge either, with Isco proving a more than capable substitute for the Portuguese star.
  • Daniel Carvajal returns from suspension and his presence on the right wing will be key in opening and stretching Osasuna. At El Sadar earlier in the season, Osasuna claimed a surprise win and they achieved it by not giving Madrid any joy on the flanks. However, Caravjal will help in this respect while Marcelo - who was rested against Bayern Munich - is equally capable of causing havoc on the other side.
  • Madrid should secure a comfortable win against Osasuna. The only real concern for coach Carlo Ancelotti is that this game comes in the middle of their semi-final two-legged tie against Bayern Munich. This could mean a few tired legs for Madrid, while others may be dreaming of a place in the Champions League final. But, the Italian's experience should ensure the latter is not a problem.

  • Isco shines in midfield. Carvajal shines on the wing. Ancelotii the master tactician. Is it safe to say the title is Mardid's to lose? Both Madrid teams actually.

  • Morata needs time , you cant play him out of the blue and expect him to knock in 2-3

  • Well, maybe he is proving me wrong after all. Don't quite understand why the goal was cancelled though.

  • @Exti the foul was clear on the defense... i'm really optimistic about morata...he has pace and good ball control...these are the most important things for a striker.

  • Meh, meant reply. And didn't mean to quote myself xD

  • @Exti That's what I meant with not being able to leave any kind of impression :) Anyway, I understand well that not everyone can be world's best at the age of 22, but I don't see a huge progress, of course it is hard to ask for any considering his playing time but still. Just hope he won't be just "talented" for too long. That replay thing doesn't seem to work

  • @Exti i think morata's role is different... as i saw morata is not the target man... more he plays like benzema...tries to distract the opponent defence to make spaces for wingers... u see ronaldo scored twice and carvajal in a iwnger position scored once... that means morata has had an impression..

  • Sadly Morata hasn't been able to leave any kind of impression yet.

  • @Exti: Actually he did not have any chances to score... he did not miss a chance neither i mean.

  • @Exti He's still young. He won't score every game but he has a lot of potential he scores almost everytime he comes off the bench

  • Ronaldo has had quite a wonderful game so far I think, lots of key passes, 3 shots, 2 of which were wonderful goals and 3rd very close to being another one.

  • 2 golasos

  • Ronaldo... damn.

  • i like morata's playing style...he is totally a poacher

  • DAT PASS ACCURACY (Modric)

  • @HalaMadrid12 DAT PASS ACCURACY (Cejudo) ;]

  • ronaldo is extremely motivated

  • Well, Ronaldo's fitness is almost unlimited. I am quite sure that resting him is not that necessary, better to give him some practice after coming back from injury. Di Maria will surely be substituted at some point, probably Modric too. I think squad will be fresh enough for the trip to Germany.

  • Damn, Varane been quite shaky few times already.

  • CRISTIANOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • NAcho deserves more chances tbh. He bleeds madridismo and is talented as wel.

  • @commandozap I agree, i have never seen him have a bad game.

  • Lopez, Nacho, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Ilarramendi, Isco, Di Maria, Morata, Ronaldo Ancelotti should rest players for Bayern

  • Iker/Lopez Carva - Varane - NAcho - Marcelo Ilara - Casemiro - Isco Di Maria -Morata - Cr7

  • Bale and Benz wont play. Cr7 wil

  • Is Ronaldo playing

  • 3-0 for Madrid.

  • R.I.P Tito.

  • About the match , Iker should play to gain some momentum before the big night

  • RIP Tito. Amazing Fighter

  • RIP Tito . Our condolences and strength to his family. Great Person.

  • 2-0 for Real

  • Osasuna didn't grab a win against Madrid earlier this season, they drew 2-2 (Oriol Riera 2 goals; Isco and Pepe 1 goal)

  • I see Real Madrid keeping a clean sheet here. Their defense is really strong should keep Pampelonians away from the goal
