Jordi Alba was awful despite the assist. His defending all game was bad, but the last goal was his fault. Gave his man a lot of space, and then didn't even try to track back. Can't believe Azpilicueta and Bernat aren't getting a chance.
@berhin It is weird that Costa is on fire with Chelsea but can't do anything for Spain. It's probably not his fault. The entire team needs to be reshuffled.
@SargentBoston@berhin i told everyone during world cup that the other players do not want Costa in their team. whenever he plays expect stupid results like this
Del Bosque should've been sacked the second Spain were humiliated in the world cup. It was as clear as the nose on his droopy face that they needed freshening up but nope, the Spanish FA kept him because of his previous success and he has kept faith in players because of their previous success. Spain will still qualify because for some ridiculous reason the number of teams playing at the Euros finals has been increased but they will almost certainly not win it with del Bosque in charge regardless of what XI they put out.
@SteveHyland Del Bosque has done great things with Spain but it's painfully obvious he should give up this term to someone else. I actually enjoy seeing the world champs be beaten but it's still weird. They have a lot of talent but no real charisma and spark. I feel bad for Iker. That dude literally went through hell the past 2 years.
Del Bosque has done nothing. He just picked up the best team in the world and didn't make any change (except for the 2/3 players that retired, and that's because he was forced to) and while the team has kept its momentum, he has been succesful without putting in work.
However, when the core of the team has started to fade, he's shown he's not able to make the proper changes to the team so that they can keep playing well.
He should have been sacked 3 months ago.
@JoeB91 Iker is a great goalie but its obvious that the media has destroyed his self esteem. Spain should probably use De Gea and bench Iker. Iker tho, should really move to another league. England or Germany would suit him well.
@abilyaminu- I actually did. Well not specifically today but a loss of this ilk. It's been on the cards since even before the world cup. Then there was the world cup and now it's getting worse.
@fafaq I like Slovakia. They're a rising European power, much like Bosnia & Herzegovina. Two likable nations to root for. Not sure why Mucha is a sub. He's a great goalie! Anyway, much respect for winning against Spain.
Del Bosque should be sacked and Casillas should retire.
I told myself after Alcacer equalizer "i still bet on Slovakia".
I know they had to attack more, but leaving your team with two defender is like an invitation for counterattack. And that's exactly what happened.
And tiki-taka is so 2010. There is nothing new to Spanish game.
Ramos will not take part in this game due to an injury picked up in Real Madrid's last game against Bilbao, in which he was substituted during half time.

ha
I call this the curse of Diego Costa. Leaving native Spaniards like Llorente, Negredo and Morata for Costa is bad karma.
@berhin Llorente native? Some Basques won't be happy to hear that. Negredo is injured btw and Morata isn't good enough right now.

Casillas is way past it, i think he was one of the main reasons for the world cup failure and still playing bad

Like seriously I did not expect this result !

slovakia is one of the raising teams in europe

@fafaq rising*
@fafaq- I think it's more like Spain are 1 of the drastically falling teams in Europe. :-p
@SteveHyland Winners must fall! Spain has been on the throne for too long. I for one, enjoy seeing them lose.
How come the stats in the old version a different to the one in the new version ? Posession Spain new version 62%, old version 73% ... ?
Piqué: But we had possession.
P.S. Alcacer is going to be new Villa.
@El_Duderino Not really, his passing, dribbling and general technique is far inferior to Villa...
@neumi17 give him time, he's still only 21, at his age Villa hadn't even played for Zaragoza's main team.

Excellent idea of adding minutes to players season statistics.
I swear every time I check Spain or Real Madrid games on WhoScored there is a Casillas 'Error lead to goal'!
Why always casillas !!
0-4
No way will this be Spain's lineup... Iniesta and Silva are NOT forwards.
Ramos will not take part in this game due to an injury picked up in Real Madrid's last game against Bilbao, in which he was substituted during half time.
