win in the line for england but not so much-the game could go either way. A midfielder like Granit Xhaka who litterally only one closest to Xavi Hernandez in terms footballing characteristics. Remember how Pirlo bosses inkland in Euro-2012 just one guy-Pirlo. Me thinks Xhaka can also do the same. Plus Blerim Dzemaili is pretty decent with ball at his feet. Valon Behrami at maybe that a ruse for shaqiri who would most definitely drift in the center and play attacking midfielder. Behrami is indeed defensive midfielder. Should have used Gokhan Inler instead. Instead of using xhanka as deep lying midfielder they could used a specialist like Inler. He maybe old but man he bossed chelski when their teams met at champions league a while back.
Summary Swiss are going to dominate possession atleast more than 53 percent.
Swiss are not necessarily under pressure for points as their remaining games are San Marino home and Estonia away. Expect both teams to play their natural game with both scoring.
Shelvey has to start now it seems he's stopped his faux-Gerrard impersonation, Delph should start ahead of Milner for every footballing reason and I'd like to see Rooney in the 10 behind Kane with Sterling and Chamberlain either side. Smalling and Stones have been good in the league this season, Cahill hasn't and Jagielka looks slower by the game- not a good thing given his positioning isn't the best either. In Chamberlain & Sterling we have a couple of lightning quick wingers who can produce a final ball as well as a genuine goal-scoring threat. I'd like us to learn how to retain possession for possession sake, because that is an invaluable weapon at the highest level, but we need a plan A which doesn't revolve around patient keep-ball and fast passing because against Spain, Germany and even France, we will be outclassed. This game should be a good test but I think we'll win and therefore win the group. Slovenia could've made it easier for us mind you...
England play so much better when Kane is on the pitch. Shame he never starts though because England play with 1 striker and Rooney is undroppable.
Sir Rooney
Ricardo Rodriguez (at left back for Switzerland) has scored 15 goals and assisted 14, in the last two years. He's one to watch out for.
@j.c Well..more that half of these goals are from penalties
@sam09 8 goals and 15 assists minus penalties, in the Bundesliga and Europa league the past two years. That's still pretty good
Hope for a 1-1
