Team News
Monaco
Lyon
- Ricardo Carvalho and Geoffrey Kondogbia both trained normally with their teammates this week, though the latter has been ruled out.
- Rested against Lille, Layvin Kurzawa will push teammate Elderson back to the bench this weekend.
- Both of Monaco's international players are still on AFCON duties with their respective national squads, while Tiemoué Bakayoké will not return to the side until next month due to injury.
- Top goalscorer Alexandre Lacazette, who has not missed a single match with Lyon so far this term, picked up a hamstring injury only a few minutes after opening the scoring against Metz. He may be sidelined for at least three weeks.
- Yassine Benzia is most likely to replace him ahead of Maxwell Cornet and Clinton Njie, who has only just returned from AFCON duty, while Henri Bedimo and Bakary Kone will miss out for the same reason
- Yoann Gourcuff seems set to return to the starting XI at the heart of the midfield in Lyon's usual 4-4-2 diamond formation.
Draw
Better Attack f the Ligue 1 (Lyon) against the better Defense of the Ligue 1 (Monaco). I think a 2-1 for Lyon with the Abdennour missing.
Lyon will win this 2:1
@MareSerb It's not so stupid actually.
Hard game, Monaco are playing well, but always wins by a whisker. Against a good former visitor, think they will draw. 1x1.
