Man Utd
QPR
- Manchester United have Falcao available and he could make his debut for Louis van Gaal's struggling side.
- Rumours are abound that Robin van Persie has an ankle injury and he could be the one to drop out.
- Marcos Rojo has been granted a work permit and he could go straight in at the back, particularly with Phil Jones having picked up a hamstring injury on international duty that will rule him out for 3-4 weeks.
- Daley Blind could be involved having also signed during United's historic transfer window, while Luke Shaw is fit and could be involved.
- Euduardo Vargas has been granted a work permit and is in line for his first appearance in QPR colours.
- Harry Redknapp reverted to 4 at the back in the win over Sunderland last time out and could stick with a 4-4-1-1 formation once again.
- Alejandro Faurlin, who has undergone surgery on yet another ACL injury, is the only player to miss out.
have to give credit to MU, I didn't expect this. even though QPR isn't a big team that was a convincing win.
any team that plays smart against this mufc team will make them look ordinary as usual but hey a win is a win regardless..its a start,something to build on but fans shouldn't be deluded the team has arrived..still on ground zero tho!
@Messy oh yeah also the real tests for Manchester United will be against Chelsea, Manchester City
@N64dude why not Sunderland or Burnleey?
Wouldn't get too excited. Spurs thrashed QPR 4-0 as well, only to get beaten 0-3 at White Hart Lane a week later. Also worth mentioning would be the fact that QPR managed NOT TO LOSE only 1 of their last 6 games.
@hindy Nobody's getting too excited here, the real tests are yet to come. Still, a 4-0 victory against any PL side is worth smiling about. It's not just the goals, it's the way they played as well.
@hindy You might not like what I've written but it's just pure facts, sorry dreamers.
@hindy What are you even on about? All @jcg said was that it's still a good victory - which it is! United are being rebuilt, we're not title contenders and we aren't pretending to be, so stop being so stupid. It's as if you're threatened by a united that performs good.....
finally! manU back on track
It's either MU or Man Utd. "ManU" is a derogatory to the club.
With all the bad reviews and negative comments, UTD are only a point different from Liverpool, last years runners up. 34 games to go.... And not far from City..... So what's the fuss !!!!!
and suddenly united look strong again. blind looked right at home in that midfield
If Man U continue to play like this they will have that fear factor again!
@N64dude lol you said the same after the preseason
@N64dude True!
Man U are just ripping QPR apart lol.
Rojo is certainly the most overrated player in MU.
@Stroke Obviusly van gaal likes him over luke shaw... which is funny because man u spent £30m on shaw haha
@morningstar I completely agree with you, I prefer Shaw rather than Rojo...
I'd like to see United do this against Chelsea.
@Dempseydumpster if you think they'd do this against Chelsea you must be drunk or mad, just look at the opposition, its the same team that lost 4-0 to Tottenham and Chelsea would have Hazard, Costa, Fabregas and co attacking not Austin, Hoilett and then there's Courtois vs Green
@JoeB91 I was being sarcastic I hope Chelsea destroys United
@JoeB91 Look up sarcasm in a dictionary
@morningstar that was barely sarcasm, no one could possible know if that was sarcasm or serious since they don't know who he/she supports
@JoeB91 As I said I was being sarcastic
@Dempseydumpster in a later post you did but from the comment "i'd like to see United do this against Chelsea" you could easily have just been a delusional United fan
How can Rojo get 7.0 he's hella weak !!!
Di Maria is on top of the world
Absolutely perfect FK from Di Maria. Are you watching Real?
@khonda Heh heh.
@khonda It wasn't mean to go in, he just want to get it to the center, but he did another goal like this in Real Madrid, when he was trying to put to Cristiano it went in
@Matelli he aimed for the back post like every player should aim for. If everyone misses, the ball creeps in. If a teammate hits it it goes in. It was absolutely perfect.
Van Gaal stated it's a 4-4-2
2-2, so much pressure on United.
Manchester United will face pressures and expectations from many fans and haters alike. They MUST win to ensure their position. Lose and draw in this game could be a catalyst for many things to happens. I'm Chelsea fan but i hope MU can win this game. Too much money wasted if MU just look for a draw.
@Joshuaa How can a CFC fan wish for a utd win? #weird #explainmeplz
@easyrlz Nah. Just because i'm Chelsea fan doesn't mean i hate rival team. Manchester United waste too much money at transfer window and i hope at least they can give entertainment for us footballing fans. Football not always about one team you know. Its about entertainment.
@Joshuaa Strange. If I support a team, I'd like rival teams to be beaten, not to entertain me by playing well and winning. A QPR win today would be a huge entertainment for me tho :)
I'm looking forward to seeing new signings Radamel Falcao, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo making their Red Devils debuts, and I hope they play in this match. And it'll be interesting to see Angel di Maria play, and after scoring one and assisting three against Germany during the international break, he looks forward to better form with Manchester United. But this is the Premier League, of course, and the style of play is different. QPR did a good job on getting the 1-0 win over Sunderland after a previous to losses consecutively, which isn't the best start to the new season. But I'll pick United here, for a 3-0 home victory. Louis van Gaal is anxious on looking for his first win in the EPL!
i can't wait for Machester United's defense to meet Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Liverpool's quick attackers and wingers because they won't cope at all
@JoeB91 Not yet. They need time, but at the moment, you're right.
Why isn't Kagawa expected to start? ... Ah that's right, forgot about that.
@False9 Moved to Borussia Dortmund.
this will be an interesting one. cant wait!!!
@erastus Very interesting.
Only Di Maria looks like he could cope with the pace of PL right from the outset. Blind,Rojo will surely struggle. 2-0 United.
keep dreaming guys...
If ManU. loose this match, than there is serious problem with the coach.
@flyindream He needs time to build his complete squad, and the new guns in the EPL need time to adapt to the new league and style of play as well, and of course, to van Gaal's "football philosophy".
@flyindream- There's a serious problem with the coach anyway! Playing 3-5-2 when it doesn't work, buying 3 left backs but no central defender or right back when they need both (and actually probably 2 CB's), making Rooney captain and therefore making it mandatory he starts every match he's fit or end up looking like an idiot. It's only cos QPR are such a poor team full of premier league has-been and never-will-be players that I think they'll win but I fear for Utd against last season's top 4. I predict 2-1.
Red Devils 4-1!
5-0 man utd. too much firepower in their offense
@may7even 3-0 for me. Put RVP after he's back from injury, you've got more strikeforce.
@may7even Yeah right maybe 3-1 or 2-0
This, THIS is the day it will come good for United. 4-0.
@dSquib Spot on!
FLACAO!
cannot wait to see their unreal attacking side, will be a disappointing match if no goals are scored by united
oh god, this will be humiliation for united
@swagio don't be an pessimist yet. In football miracles can happens too. This match either comeback of MU or worse, the fall... but with player like Falcao and Di Maria caliber i think MU still have a big chance of comeback.
de Gea - Jones, Smalling, Rojo - di Maria, Herrera, Mata, Blind - Falcao, Rooney, RvP LOL, cannot imagine they won't win finally...
@John_0 United win.
@John_0 nah they probably would win
