new nice tactic from lousy keeper called Joe Hart
MAN CITY IS MORE STRONGER THAN CHELSEA
Interesting is the position of Dzeko and Aguero, Dzeko played as shadow striker in this match actually.
one thing I didn't like is Diego Costa bringing bad habits from La Liga
@wladi83 League leading (by a landslide) goal scorer is a bad habit? I suppose if he doesn't play for your club. Cheer up mate.
Pellegrini: "We had one big team playing as a big team, and one big team playing as a small team, like Stoke.""
@goonergunner14 Funny how your more concerned about what others think of our play then you are of your own teams play. That typical gooner mentality must drive your clubs 4th place trophy ambitions.
@goonergunner14 Well, you can't take that literally. English isn't his first language, and you can't be sure that's exactly what he meant.
Milner comes into his own in big games. Great player.
@TacticalMastermind I suddenly remembered the win against Bayern last year.
Lampard kept a spare pair of keys so that he could still unlock the bus.
mangala what a defender.city dominated though. unlucky to draw
Lampard did his job as a professional ! Good job,Franky.
Mangala was brilliant. Looks a great buy (obviously needs to play more to be evaluated fairly, but made an excellent start today). Milner was the right decision for Man of the Match. Played in about 5 different positions today, and did well in each. Worked so hard all game (as usual), and a good bit of movement to get into a position for his assist.
Milner was AMAZING and Mangala is a BEAST...
Seems like the mods on this page are butthurt Chelsea fans.
@SargentBoston Nothing to be butt hurt about when you're top of the table and have the best attack in the league. How's the view down there?
Schuerrle is a mircale ! He is skillwise very limited, but he runs and scores like crazy... Strange player, mostly faster than the ball, but he`s got a good shot .
@neumi17 Can't defend though ;)
@neumi17 Skill wise? Hes a decent dribbler
@HalaMadrid12 Not really...he doesn`t have a close ball control. He dribbles with speed, not with technique and moves. Usually he tries to push the ball forward and runs after it. That is not the definition of dribbling... But his shot ist first class ! In the German national team he is the least skilled player besides Mueller...
@neumi17 Yeah, but lets face it.. he's no Nicklas Bendtner.
@SargentBoston Hope so...
Lampard..| what you are doing here?
Lampard looked like he is gonna start to cry after he scored...bittersweet moment if I've seen one...
where is your costa now!?
Chelsea's now playing like they are the side down ten.
The better side just scored. Finally.
LAMPARD
Terrible refereeing. Just awful.
I hope City scores, not a fan of either club but you can't win football like that in a game this big. Fans lose.
bus, a very big one
Good game Chelsea. Not.
Dean is having a dreadful afternoon, watch Chelsea win the game now whilst they deserve nothing.
@vandermar Sorry but Zabalata only has himself to blame there...he got the yellow for what happened afterwards not for the foul itself...that was very stupid of him.
@vandermar You must be kidding that the most deserved second yellow i've ever seen.
@Dempseydumpster Was the first one deserved?
Park the bus when you see a formidable opponents , put all men behind the ball and only wait for a window or a lucky break or a set-piece chance. Ingenious tactics and if someone else does it , frame it with some catchy name so that media blabbers about it whole day and you're let off the hook. Borinho is old and predictable , its about time his ego leaves him breathless. And his gullible followers clueless as they already are.
@commandozap that is called tactics
@commandozap What you're saying is 100% true, but thats how he wins it gets him results.
Seeing more yellow than blue on that pitch atm.
form is temporary, BUS is permanent :p
Ramires on the right wing? City will win.
please write your comment shorter. reading all those words make my eye sore
@dinox Please don't tell us what to do, this isn't your site or comment section, if you have any complaints ask Whoscored themselves. This a football site discuss football and stop complaining go use another website where there are no comments then we don't care, i don't care, you don't care. Got that? We all set?
@HalaMadrid12 You could say (no) in a nicer way*
@HalaMadrid12 He isn't telling us what to do he is just asking for something . You colud (no) in a nicer way
3-1 , Chelsea morale is down and Jose Borinho is busy playing war of wards and ego-check games with Ronaldo. Ronaldo's hattrick yesterday and no response to Jose's usual blabber will certainly pulverize his self-confidence and will reflect on the team. Scoreline could be worse.
@commandozap when are you low life Real Madrid plastic fans, leave the man alone? Gzzz man, you guys are really boring.
@Tricyus Looks like we hit a nerve with blind gullible sheep of Borinho. Tell that Borinho to stop daydreaming & he is never welcome at madrid again , the rascist brain-dead group ultras sur , the only ones who like him are banned too alongwith him. And about low-life , the way you speak to others certainly shows how you feel about yourself. Keep some kleenex in case.
@commandozap "the way you speak to others certainly shows how you feel about yourself" so the way you speak of mourinho, is the way you feel about yourself? Now I understand, no need to elaborate anymore.
0-1 for Chelsea
I think City will nick this one, 1:0 Jose is coming to park the bus as usual, Chelsea are a different team from last season but have only beaten teams outside top 4 so far, City at home will settle for nothing less than 3 points! We all know that, he will come and play for a draw guaranteed and I believe this time City will get one over Jose unless Chelsea apply same tactics Stoke did a couple of weeks back! lol
@albgunn Still squealing from that 6-0 trashing, I see.
Manchester City 2-1 Chelsea Silva and Aguero to Chelsea Diego Costa or Willian It will be a great game, but I believe the City will win, not like Martín Demichelis, maybe it's time to give a chance to Mangala, my ideal team would be Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy, Fernandinho, Yaya, Nasri, Silva, Navas, Aguero
Is it me or has anyone else noticed how Mourinho says Costa isn't fit before a game and ends up playing him any way
Cant help but think Chelsea will take at least a point out of this one. Fabregas and Costa have put Chelsea on another level from last year. If I was JM I would stick Shurrle in, he performs in big games and is always good for a goal. Much depends on who is starting for City, when Aguero starts they are way more dangerous, just a shame he's made of glass. Chelsea win 2-1 or a 1-1 draw
@JROM79 Also it depends on how Chelsea sets up their formation. They really need to keep things tight. Don't be surprised if Mou pushes Fabregas further up the pitch and plays Ramires alongside Matic.
@JROM79 I agree. Last season, because of the lack of firepower, Mourinho was happy to keep things tight at the back and hit teams using counter attacks, usually ending games with one goal margins. Now with Costa, goals aren't so much a problem but the team seems to be conceding as well. City on the other hand will seriously need Yaya Toure (mind you, losing a loved one is very saddening)to turn up in the middle of the park for this one and also those his bursts from deep (He needs to help out Fernandinho, too) A draw is a fair result. But don't be surprised if Chelsea win this one.
@Philip_AE I have been impressed with Fernandinho he covers alot of ground, especially the other day against Bayern. City need Yaya on top of his game for this one. Jovetic is showing his true colours this year, lets hope he stays healthy once he's back as I would think he could form a fluid partnership with Aguero.
1-2 Diego Costa and Hazard to score for Chelsea and Jovetic to score the consolation goal for City
it depends the kind of chelsea that shows up the 1st 15-20mins..if its the swansea attitude, city can wrap the game within the 15-20mins but if its the everton kind of chelsea approach then its home and dry for the current league leaders..
