Team News
Everton
Aston Villa
- John Stones joins Ross Barkley on the sidelines having picked up an ankle injury that is set to keep him out for 2 or 3 months.
- Kevin Mirallas remains a doubt while Roberto Martinez has claimed that compatriot Romelu Lukaku has also been carrying a slight injury.
- Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy could be back available to ease the Toffees' injury concerns.
- Christian Benteke is now back available for selection and could make his first start for the club since rupturing his achilles earlier in the year, after a two week break to help regain his fitness.
- Paul Lambert will also hope that Ron Vlaar is in contention, with a persistent calf problem hampering his start to the season so far, while Philippe Senderos returns from international duty as a doubt.
- Libor Kozak, however, will be out for some time yet having suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a broken leg.
- Fabian Delph is set to be sidelined until 2015 with a dislocated shoulder.
Why the hell is Besic on the bench? He just started both games for Bosnia during the Euro quals but somehow, this isn't good for Everton. Barry should be benched.
@SargentBoston I think you answered your own question.
villa are becoming 1 of the worst offensive teams in the prem. i only needed them to score and id have won £875. im totally gutted. how on earth did they beat lfc the other month
@psmartp Along with Burnley, yep!
Benteke > Lukaku
@Villa do you watch football at least occasionally?
@Messy Do you base your opinion's on more than 1 match? Benteke is better than Lukaku, no doubt, and to suggest otherwise is absurd.
1-1
I'd really like to see Eto'o instead of Lukaku, Besic in for McCarthy plus Pienaar on the left from the start. Hopefully Coleman can make it too. With those defensive issues of late in mind, any win is great. 2-1
