WS, I would really make the argument that Arsenal are playing a 4-4-2 with these players. Two deeper center mids in Flamini and Arteta and considering Alexis's average position was higher than Welbeck's, it's difficult to call him a number 10 by the usual definition. Wenger retains the usual balance through unbalance with Santi tucking in, but there's even the Ox to provide the pacy width.
On the whole though, Alexis is keeping Arsenal relevant all by himself. It's both fortunate and a warning for the top sides for when the whole team decides to start playing together.
Hard work pays off! if we want to compete with big guys we need this winning attitude like alexis!. and Chambers for 19yo Really worth every cent, Congrats for a first league goal and a one good assist mate!
I don't see Burnley lining up as WhoScored currently has it. I expect Chalobah and Jones to sit very deep with Arfield attacking. I also expect, for all intents and purposes, the formation to be 6-3-1 with the wing-backs playing very wide to null our width. No disrespect to them, but they're 1 of the worst wing-back pairings in the league and wont be able to offer any of our wingers space to run into or they'll be embarrassed.
@morningstar That was start of the season, now arsenal should probably score more because their are alot of player which run in(ramsey, sanchez, welbeck). Even burnley needs to score points, so they don't play all defensive anymore.
As for the team line-up, I have a feeling Sanchez will play in the 10 role like he did in the 2nd half against Sunderland. Whether that will work against the big teams I'm not sure but Alexis is the type of player, a bit like Suarez & Hazard, that you want on the ball as much as possible because he makes things happen so I wouldn't be surprised if it does work. Long-term, Sanchez in the 10 with Walcott and the Ox on the wings with Wele up front would at the very least give us pace in abundance & not wanting to quote Alan Hansen (but I will)- "If it's one thing defenders don't like, it's pace". The purist in me still wants Oezil in the 10 but he has a while out so the all-out-pace option might me how Wenger goes once Walcott has been gently re-introduced into the 1st team. Defensively it's almost certain the back 4 will look like: Bellerin, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal with Gibbs being injured yet again (hip this time). Arteta is injured too so Flamini will probably play.
The gulf in class, the money spent assembling the respective squads and the fact it's at the Emirates all point to this being a huge Arsenal win but us fans know better! I think we WILL win but it's these type of games which we take for granted and often get bitten in the backside. Hopefully after the poor start it has been drummed into the players how important a confident win in this match is. 3 or 4 goals and a clean sheet. I however predict a 3-1 win with the 3rd coming late on. Goals from Welbeck (2) and Sancez. Sanchez MotM cos he has been our best player in pretty much every game he's played and I don't think any Burnely individual will be able to stand out unless it's the keeper- in which case we probably wont've won.

The freaking no. of corners is too high !! Well played gunners !!
Sanchez is the best player in the league atm.
Alexis is great! Wish Arsenal didn't let him to play FIFA matchday in 2 weeks time, need him healthy and fresh vs Utd.
Alexis is incredible.
what a player Alexis is...
it wil b good to see walcott bak afta 10months out, I hope Sanchez wil do wat he does best. a 4-0 win for us.
To my mind a win for Arsenal is no big deal. They've gotta make a statement and that should come in the shape of a 5, nil, or maybe 5, 1

I think we should play 4-3-3 , with gibbs, chambers, per, hector, ramsey, arteta, ox, sanchez , welback and walcott.
4:2 win Arsenal Sanchez 2, Cazorla 1 and Gibbs 1
Burnley will probably be hard to break down initially before Arsenal score their usual 2 goals in the last 20mins.
