Chelsea played well. Defensively sound, Matic did his job, Fabregas and Hazard created a fair bit and Costa did his job with a nice finish. West Ham, however were very disappointing. If not for Adrian, it would've been a cricket score and they produced very little in attack. Granted they didn't have much of the ball and Chelsea closed down well, but West Ham surely would've expected to lose so why didn't they throw caution to the wind and attack more? A 2-0 loss is not much better in the grand scheme of things than a 5-0 one. Either that or park the bus but this was neither! The F.A also need to sort out the diving rule. Ivanovic for all intents and purposes dived but was slightly touched so officially it wasn't "simulation". A panel of ex-pros who know what is and isn't an attempt to cheat the ref with the power to retrospectively award cards (I, incidentally think a dive should warrant a straight red) would stamp diving out of the game fairly quickly.
Nice predictions kids. Predicting anything but a Chelsea win was illogical. Use your brains in future. A prediction is what you think/expect to happen. It has nothing to do with what you hope will happen. Facepalm.
@TacticalMastermind- Actually, no. A West Ham win, yes- that was never likely to happen, but West Ham with a lesser team drew at Stamford bridge last season. Chelsea are better too but there have been more potent attacks than this Chelsea one thwarted by teams parking the bus and playing "19th century football". I would've predicted a 1-0 Chelsea win personally but wouldn't have ruled out a draw (depending on their tactics obviously).
@TacticalMastermind- Yeah and that was the only occasion in history where a team has been all over a defend-only opponent for the whole game and ended up not winning. Never seen a Barcelona or Bayern Munich league game against a much lower opposition with 75% plus of the ball and a 0-0 or 1-1 score line presumably. Or even in the champions league for that matter. Celtic's games against Barca for example. It has happened to Arsenal & Man City a couple of times THIS SEASON. If you had actually watched any football, you would've realized how "dozy" your comment was before posting it.
@SteveHyland Chelsea had a ridiculous amount of shots. That is incredibly rare. Barcelona can dominate the game and only had 15 shots so it's different. Fucking mug.
@TacticalMastermind- You are about as eloquent and have as good a grasp of the English language as you are knowledgeable about football. Instead of clicking on WhoScored's report and basing your opinion on the stats, try to remember what actually happened in the game (my guess is you didn't actually see much of it which is why you've resorted to base your view of the game on the numbers in the first place). Chelsea only had 9 shots on target (I didn't remember the specific number but remembered it was a small percentage of total shots) because they grew impatient with West Ham's Alamo-style defending and shot from any and every where in desperation. Teams like Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have/had managers with an ethos which is NEVER deviated from. The fact there aren't as many total shots doesn't mean the dominance was any less. This type of game happens multiple times a season to the "footballing" teams and often a draw is the result.
@SteveHyland Chelsea had 39 shots. West Ham had 1. Possession was 72-28. This type of one way traffic is a victory for Chelsea 999 times out of 1000, if not more. You are deluded.
@TacticalMastermind- So I take it the fact you are quoting more stats meant you didn't actually watch the game. Arsenal have 70%+ possession in multiple games per season. I know it's a shock to see Chelsea have more than 55 but this isn't rare for Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc fans. Still, believe what you want.
I expect Westham to open up unlike the last time they met,and if they do Chelsea will win 2-0, but if they don't open up and park the bus 1-0 to Chelsea

@SteveHyland That draw was a fluke dozy. Chelsea were all over West Ham in the game for 90 minutes..

@TacticalMastermind again , that's what i have been saying to the chelsea haters .
Courtois: 0 saves. That's all I needed to know.
terry chelsea soul
what a christmas gift for me , chelsea are playing some great football and winning too .
Poor refereeing making me feel uneasy. Hopefully a bad decision won't ruin the game.
Song has to block fabregras ... It would surely bring back some memories.
Chelsea 3:1 West Ham ... Diego Costa x 3 :)
ocsar vs downing :)
this could be though game for chelsea It's always a special game between Sam Allardyce and José Mourinho Hope it's gonna be a playful game
Surely you must all think Chelsea win is the most likely result. A prediction is what you think will happen not what you hope will happen..
@TacticalMastermind that's what i have been saying to the chelsea haters .
I was looking a lot at the game. It seems that could be 2:2 draw after all
Chelsea will not win. I think draw.
4-0
1-2
Chelsea will not only win this but they will win it with a 2 goal margin
@uA1905- What's next Friday's euromillions numbers?

Lets hope for Christmas miracle........ Once more
merry christmas to all . its going to be a tight game , hoping for a chelsea win.
@Jonty- Not sure why you got 2 thumbs down for wishing people a merry Christmas. That's harsh people.
win-draw for chelsea...be sure 100%!
I expect Westham to open up unlike the last time they met,and if they do Chelsea will win 2-0, but if they don't open up and park the bus 1-0 to Chelsea
Draw
3-1 Chelsea
Draw.
