Hazard was very good. With Sanchez's period out injured and slight dip in form before today, he's leapfrogged him into player of the year imo. Hopefully both stay fit for the rest of the season.
@SteveHyland Even prior to that, Hazard was playing better. The diff is that one turns up in the big matches while the other is anonymous in them. Can't give poty to Sanchez who doesn't play well vs the big teams.
@Excalibur- No Sanchez was clearly the best in the league prior to his injury. The fact Hazard has looked better against the big teams is because he's been in a good TEAM all year whereas Sanchez carried Arsenal for ages and was the only good player for us in many games. In Chelsea there have been Matic, Fabregas, Oscar and Costa who have played well almost since game 1 yet it's only since Sanchez's injury/dip in form that anyone else has been world class for us (Cazorla). I'd also like to point out Ivanovic's tactics of kicking Alexis at every opportunity during the game at the bridge warranted a yellow card. It's easy to stop someone playing when you're getting away with persistent fouling.
@excalibur Sanchez has more goals and more assists and does a helluva lot more defensive work than Hazard. If Alexis did not have the dip in form he would win POTY by a mile.
Eden Hazard has to be the most over-rated footballer in the world. The World Cup proved that to be so, De Bruyne completely outshone him and he was anonymous.
@Overmars ok, guys. you are on a very detailed sight that has all the statistics you need to look at. you can settle which player has been the best this season by just clicking "player statistics" under premier league. yeeesh!
Mourinho really annoys me in his post-match interviews. He not so subtly alluded to West Ham's previous tactics of ultra-defensive, long-ball, direct football via the "football that is not your type of football" line which is exactly the type of tactics Mourinho teams employ (and have always employed since his Porto days) against a lesser footballing team. It's particularly disrespectful mentioning it today considering West Ham could've scored a couple of times from play that cannot be considered ultra-defensive or direct. They actually had a relatively even share of possession and more shots (including those on target). They probably should've played more conservatively to get a draw in all honesty but they didn't yet Mourinho still comes out with retarded comments.
@What4- He did well. Great tackle on Costa to deny which surely would've been a goal and got up and down the flanks pretty well considering who he was facing. It'll be interesting to see what Arsenal do with him next season.
chelsea winning, there's no way chelsea won't score and then that will force hammers to open up and then suffer more, similar to last game 2-0 2-1 3-1 chelsea

@SteveHyland- I meant against BETTER footballing teams, obviously.
i wonder why there are no "The Campaign" comments today
@MiguelSuave Exactly right? Koayate, Nolan and Noble should have been sent off.
@excalibur How delusional are you people?
@MiguelSuave- I think he's actually agreeing with you and taking the mick out of the campaign believers. I hope he is at least...
