Team News
Tottenham
Man City
- Ben Davies is out for the rest of the season after a torrid performance last week was topped off by him being stretchered off having dislocated his shoulder, which needed surgery this week.
- Danny Rose has recovered from a hamstring injury sufficiently to play.
- Kyle Walker remains absent, while Paulinho will be available again after he missed last week's trip to Southampton to attend the birth of his child.
- Manuel Pellegrini has a few injury concerns to deal with for the trip to White Hart Lane.
- Yaya Toure misses out with the hamstring injury he sustained against Aston Villa last week.
- Samir Nasri missed that game and is a doubt, while Vincent Kompany and Gael Clichy are certainly out.
Proud that Lamela is really trying to prove himself.
Bieber league
Such a weak league.
@pulverizer Epl or Bieber league whatever you call it has got weaker since last 4-5 years. Honestly i put them 4th among top 5 leagues as their mid-tables are weak in europa as well where serie A overtakes them or levels them.
@pulverizer- It's a weak league because last year's champions are beating this year's likely 6th placed 1-0 at half time but La Liga is "strong" even though Cordoba got destroyed 8-0 by Barca? Wouldn't those results actually suggest something to the contrary- or at least that there are 2 great teams in Spain but nobody else? How does that constitute a "strong" league when there's such a disparity between the best and worst not to mention the monopoly those 2 teams have in regards to pull (financially and sporting)?
@SteveHyland At least they have strong teams. Premier got nothing. Mediocre league, trash teams.. Smh..
@SteveHyland It's like saying there's no talent in football because Messi and Ronaldo keep winning Ballon d'Or. No, they're just on a whole other level, you can't blame their competitors for always losing when they're around. Europa and Champions League prove the quality of Spain anyway. EPL lives in its own bubble until it has to face teams from other leagues.. that's more telling than anything.
@LLCAN Wouldn't a stronger league make it harder for teams to perform in European tournaments? German, French, Italian and Spanish teams can field their C and D teams for league play. EPL can't do that. Call it whatever you want, but it is clearly the most competitive league in the world.
@LLCAN- What you're saying makes no sense, I didn't say there is no talent in La Liga, only that there are consistently only 2 teams which have all the financial and sporting pull. The facts prove it when you look at the history of the league (soon to be 66.666r% of La Liga's championships being won by Real or Barcelona) and the fact that every other team in Spain will eventually sell their best player(s) either to the big 2 or outside the division. When you have the majority of the best players in the league spread between only 2 teams, it's not a surprise they dominate but then can you say the whole LEAGUE is better than another just because those same teams are there or there about in the CL?
@pulverizer What do you expect from bieber league?
Tottenham - Manchester City 1:2
Spurs 2 : 3 City - Yaya MoM
kane 3 x 0 city
spurs 3x1 city
go spurs
Enjoy Kane while you can Spuds. At the end of the season Man $ity will buy him for £50m just to let him rot on the bench, and so you can spend the money on more rubbish players from the Albanian 5th division.
@What4 All you did was prove why City won't win the league any time soon...Wasting millions for players who just sit on the bench.
@What4 Albanian 5th ew.
@What4 Top banter.

I accidentally chose Vertonghen as MOTM, so, just so you know, I meant to choose Agüero
@Mr.Parker- Don't worry, 3 people chose Adebayor and 1 person a 15-0 Spurs win.
