Team News
Liverpool
West Ham
- Mamadou Sakho limped off with a back injury in the Capital One Cup defeat to Chelsea, but will be fit to start here.
- Steven Gerrard is set to drop to the bench after playing the full 120 minutes in midweek, with Adam Lallana likely to come in alongside Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho in attack.
- Daniel Sturridge is back in training and could make the bench, but Brad Jones and Jon Flanagan are set to miss out.
- Sam Allardyce is sweating on the fitness on a number of defenders, with James Collins, James Tomkins, Carl Jenkinson and Joey O'Brien all doubts.
- Diafra Sakho may start in place of Enner Valencia up front after he netted the winner at Bristol City on Sunday, despite reports that he could be banned after missing the Africa Cup of Nations.
- Cheikhou Kouyate remains absent as he is with the Senegal national team.
Sturridge coming back is just like a new signing for Liverpool imo and they've also had some momentum. Race for the top 4 is really heating up now.
Sturridge, he's finally back
Sturridge 4 Appearances 2 goals Balotelli 12 Appearances 0 goals

West Ham to win here.

Balloteli to score
3-0 or so... maybe 2-0
Sturridge is back and liverpool are progressing in each match, they showed how they are growing towards top even they lost to chelsea. i wish every player show their highest performance and win by 4-1!!!!!!
@Poon Liverpool is tired from last match with Chelsea. West Ham should win.
COYI
With Sakho back I think West Ham could outscore Liverpool 2-1 or 3-2. Carroll or Sakho MOTM.
This will be a good test of where West Ham are. I expect them, in this horrible run of fixtures starting with this match and culminating in the match at the Emirates on the 14th March, to win 1 and lose the other 6, maybe draw 1 and lose 5 best case scenario. I predict a close Liverpool win, 2-1. Sterling and Lallana for Liverpool and Carroll for West Ham. MotM, Lallana.
