It would be a shame if brasil won the world cup playing such awful football. All these years they played attractive football and lost, and now when they play ugly football they have a chance to win.... That's just stupid.
@HandofGod very easy to say this in hindsight... Brazil were weak coming in and Colombia underperformed badly. Even with the most horrible, and honestly after recent allegations, suspect officiating of this World Cup, Brazil couldn't score a goal from open play. I refuse to understand why Pekerman persisted starting Teo with alternatives like Europa League winning Carlos Bacca and Jackson Martinez on the bench. It finally caught up to him. It's fair to say Brazil will be heavily favored and have the officiating on their side against Germany. If they play like today, hopefully the Germans make them pay for it.
@jnsbstn In this tournament set pieces have been a very strong weapon, you shouldn't belittle a team for not managing to score from open play.
@HandofGod Germany will very probably knock them out. They are playing well, Brazil has a better defense, but the attack is nowhere near as strong as Germany's, and now Neymar is out of the tournament. His injury was diagnosed as a lesion in the third vertebrae, prediction of 4 to 6 weeks of recovery.
@ftnakao Although Brazil's defense might be better colectively, Germany still has a bunch of really good defenders. And even if they have their moments of abstraction, Neuer is in a gorgeous form. As of now, I wouldn't claim Brazil's defense to be that much better. Although that opinion might be influenced by how much I like the german national team, so I apologise for any views through rose-coloured glasses
congrats to Colombia! they did a great world cup, even without Falcao... who knows where would they be if they had the missing forward in the attack...
5 minutes of added time was a joke.
Six substitutes = 3 minutes, and 5 minutes took Julio Cesar alone with that circus after his foul. And then another 3-4 minutes for Neymar ...
@El_Duderino I could only laugh when Cesar was rolling around on the ground as if he got run over by an 18wheel truck. Circus is a perfect way to describe tonight's game.
I said before stoppage time, one sure-fire way to tell if this referee was biased is how much extra time he gives... Followed swiftly by him awarding 5 minutes, ridiculous. Cesar was rolling on the ground having complex partial seizures for 6 minutes at least, Neymar getting stretchered off the field, etc. Ref gives the (at least) 9 minutes that were warranted and we might be talking about a different outcome.
Neymar 8.1? Seriously, you have to sort out this rating system. He was anonymous for most parts of the game. Bad pass after bad pass. Did nothing of note.
@excalibur@excalibur Look at his statistics: 64 touches, more than any other brazillian, 3 shots, 3 dribbles and 3 tackles. I agree he didn't have that high of an impact in the result, but he did help his team, 8.1 might have been too high, but it shouldn't be much lower than that
Where was the foul which led to the free kick where Luiz scored? There wasn't even any contact. Why wasn't Julio Cesar sent off? How much can these whistling monkeys favor Brazil?
@Exti That is called a foul 100% of the time when the defender doesn't make contact with the ball, please put your hate for Brazil aside. The ref was pitiful for both teams, obviously has very little experience officiating South American teams.
Brazil have been riding their luck from the first minute of the tournament all the way to the semis and with the help of the referees here and there don't be surprised if Brazil find a way to win the World Cup.
This game was so strange.
It looked like they're playing in the backyard, not World Cup.
Brazil without Thiago versus Germany?
Come on, Germany is superior to Brazil.
They have better goalie, defense, midfield and offensive.
And Columbia today looked really not like themselves.
Wonderfull goal! Very nice!
But this is a disgrace, Yepes wasn't the one receiving the pass, so technically, not offside. A new situation occurs when the header is blocked, so the goal should have counted. Then Hulk dives and James gets a yellow card, which is appaling. Not saying Brazil shouldn't be winning, Colombia has been poor. But the refereeing has been, again, awful and in favour of Brazil..
@DutchDelight i agree with some of what you said, but hulk didn't dive. if you watch it carefully he got clipped.
james knew he fouled him... however, he should NOT have gotten a yellow (it was only his first offense)
@DutchDelight It was offside, he was interfering with play, and the ref blew his whistle 6 seconds before Yepes even shot so it wouldn't have counted regardless. That dive was pathetic though.
Fernandinho had 4 reckless tackles in the first half and got away with all of them. James Rodriguez barely touches Hulk and he gets a yellow with his first tackle. I give up.
@Tom1759 Martinez isn't good, Ramos doesn't have Pékerman's trust, and Teó scored 5 goals in qualification, it's not like they're playing Ibarbo up front.
Referee is very much in favour of Brazil, again. Should have given Fernandinho and Paulinho a yellow card, wall at free kick wasn't 9 meters and just now obvious foul from Luiz and yellow card. Such a pity, why does it have to be like this..
Statistics shows everything ,, brasil is going to have easy meal as said,, i predicted brasil win 3:1 but now im going to apologise and correct myself,, 3:0 for GREAT BRASIL
In terms of performance, Colombia may be the most dangerous team Brazil has faced (and might face) in this World Cup. Colombia has played an organized attacking football and have been one of the most (if not the most) consistent team in this World Cup. I think that if Brazil survives Colombia they can play toe-to-toe with the other teams they might face till the final.
at this world cup, brazil was in crappy form, unless they improve I'm sure as hell it won't be a surprise to see colombia go for a win in 90 mins. They killed until now and are showing signs of more of the same.
@alitavassoli Brazil have seen under 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 matches against Colombia in all competitions, as above so brasil 3 : 1 colombia unlikely score.
@alitavassoli It may be possible to go on penalties and Colombians are excellent penalty scorers, Juan Cuadrado scored a penalty for Colombia in the 17th minute in their match with Japan and what a class penalty kick that was.
@alitavassoli I can't wait till Brazil lose so you can understand how proper football is played. Without the help of the referee Brazil have been very poor, even Fat Ronaldo has had that to say.
@HandofGod I believe the scoreline is unrealistic base on the stats available.
Brazil v Colombia has seen a draw in previous four international meetings:
15-11-2012 Brazil 1 : 1 Colombia
16-10-2008 Brazil 0 : 0 Colombia
14-10-2007 Colombia 0 : 0 Brazil
14-10-2004 Brazil 0 : 0 Colombia
Also note that Brazil played Home three from four meetings, this is meaningful.
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 Aside from the majority of those matches being played a good 4+ years ago, also note that those were treated as friendlies, not WC matches-- with experimental squads, under command of various coaches, during club seasons etc. That being said, those stats aren't actually that relevant.
Colombia has yet to concede the first goal in a match of this WC. I believe it will happen against Brazil and they'll not be able to press forward without giving Brazil a lot of great opportunities on goal. The real question for Brazil then is, will they click? I think they will.
Brazil 3-1 Colombia.
@HandofGod The only games valid to look at are the 3 last games, since many players that will play tomorrow played those games. (The other games had other players.) 2 of those 3 matches were world cup qualifiers.
@uzuriaga Fair comment, and they all have been draws, remember that Brazil has been there before and Colombia has stepped into new levels and that will increase their confidence.
@AndreyNosatii And by the way are you aware that Colombia had offered citizenship to manager Jose Pekerman after he guided them to the World Cup after 16 years and the The unassuming Argentine, who took over the reins in 2012, might get a shot at the country’s presidency in inspiring 'Los Cafeteros' to a win over Brazil in the quarterfinal.
brasil is going to have an easy meal for friday night's match ,,look at the records,,,15 win for brasil and just 2 win for poor colombia,,,despite wishing for brasil elimination,improve your attitude and respect to brasil
@alitavassoli Highly Unrealistic comment, not only due to team performance but also the fact the the Colombians have thousands of fans backing them so they are playing in South American soil and they surely feeling at home this is tremendous psychology boost.
@alitavassoli By all means of course there is chance, to prove it it has
happened before, like I said before Brazil is not the same like in the good old days, other teams are progressing tremendously.
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 i think you dont know that they playing against the team which are playing on their home soil,,if they have 1000 of fans then their rival have 200 milion fans my little bro,,brasil is going to demolish without any trouble at all
@alitavassoli Well 200 million fans would help if they could all fit in the stadium, however that is not the case, the fans are going to be well spread for both teams.
@alitavassoli Unlikely, because Colombia is used to playing South Americans teams at their home, Colombians are South Americans too and they are are playing Argentinian football if you remember their coach Mr Pekerman is Argentinian.
@abderrahmen27 Most bookies have Brazil as favorite but we all know how they make their money, Your comment is not based on facts since FIFA are using more Camera angles to verify the referees decisions live in front of millions of people, this surely is a deterrent to biased officials, I believe that due to this the games are more fair.
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 in the first match reffree gave them unfair win as every body saw and against cameron he gave them fred goal that give the lead and avoid Holland
without Gustavo there will be much trouble infront of Brazil's defence line.
maybe Ramires will start for him but he's collecting yellow cards very fast
@benchmark04 quite correct due to the fact that as Selecao Brasileira revealed, the contribution of Gustavo to the Brazilian cause is incredibly important.
@HandofGod Hi, surely midfielder Luiz Gustavo is a professional compliment to Brazil it will obviously have some sort of impact on optimal team's performance.
Sure, but I think Maxwell could fill the position just as well. It gives another a chance to step up and that's not always a bad thing. There are a few on the squad that would make me a bit worried to see missing this match but the absence of Luis Gustavo isn't really one of them.
@alitavassoli Brazil is not the same anymore I mean the Brazil of the great olden days, remember that things change and move to new levels you have an example in Costa-rica who has an experienced Colombian manager Mr Jorge Luis Pinto, and take the example of defending champions Spain, they are gone! they were great too.
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 we gonna see this match and promise u whenever the was ended I'm gonna be here to continue this arguement,,brasil is going to win bcus of their strength and previous records,,if u wanna bet i suggest to hesitate put your money on colombia side,,believe me bro,,,brasil is gonna win,,i will see u after match right here
@tabiqiqbal Quite possible and also remember James Rodriguez and Martinez, who currently plays for Porto, scored a brace in his first World Cup start in the 4-1 thrashing of Japan recently, and is hoping to repeat the feat again.
@pablo.fernandes.18294 Realistically speaking and based an true data and current performance I believe a Brazil 3-1 score is very unlikely also High street bookies are paying around 14/1 and they like winning from punters as most know, if you follow horse racing you will know that a 14/1 winner is rare occasion.
@HandofGod Colombia make it all the way to the final on July 13th there won’t be the same negative sentiment because the truth is that 'Los Cafeteros' have been the best team at the finals so far.
@kreizi It is worth remembering that life bans have already been given by FIFA for “repeated violations” of the ethics code relating to “conflicts of interest.”
@FaizanBaig1 I actually sent a text message to a friend and Chilean's supporter when they were facing a match versus Defending World Cup champion Spain and 2010 World Cup champion who were defeated at Maracana Stadium 2-0 by the persistent Chileans.
It would be a shame if brasil won the world cup playing such awful football. All these years they played attractive football and lost, and now when they play ugly football they have a chance to win.... That's just stupid.
You would have to have been a fool to think that Brazil would get knocked out by Colombia. They will be knocked out by Germany though.
@HandofGod very easy to say this in hindsight... Brazil were weak coming in and Colombia underperformed badly. i hate fernandinho for what he did to rodriguez.
James, bravo manh!!!
Totally rigged. Just hand the thropy to brazil. Caesa should red. And the disallowed goal? Well done FIFA. Congratz brazil for winning 2014 world cup.
Luiz was covering where? For sure not between Bacca and goal.
congrats to Colombia! they did a great world cup, even without Falcao... who knows where would they be if they had the missing forward in the attack...

@Exti David Luiz was covering so not an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
@gnorn He was covering air. Bacca was faster and he would get past Julio Cesar only to put the ball in.
@El_Duderino Look at the incident again. Bacca overhit the ball and Luiz would have got to it first.
Luiz goal, daaamn :O
Where was the foul which led to the free kick where Luiz scored? There wasn't even any contact. Why wasn't Julio Cesar sent off? How much can these whistling monkeys favor Brazil?

@Exti Cesar wasn't sent off since he didn't deny an obvious goal scoring opportunity. The guy still got his shot off.
@khonda Bacca didn't shoot yet, just played past Cesar.. did you even watch the game?
@Exti Played it too hard. He would have lost the v ball anyway.
Without Silva it would be fun to see brazilian dance to german attackers tune
Brazil have been riding their luck from the first minute of the tournament all the way to the semis and with the help of the referees here and there don't be surprised if Brazil find a way to win the World Cup.
I hope Messi puts a Hat trick past Cesar in the Maracana
@Villa How would that happen ? Belgium and Germany are gonna advance...
@neumi17 Hahahahaha
Brazil , you will pay for all the unfair things you've gained so far as a GIFT from FIFA.
Neymar 8.1. One assist and then poor passing, shooting and much diving. James 7.6? ...
And Hulk got 7.5, omg ... He wasted three great chances.
Now who's gonna pay 40 millions € for Cuardado?
This game was so strange. It looked like they're playing in the backyard, not World Cup. Brazil without Thiago versus Germany? Come on, Germany is superior to Brazil. They have better goalie, defense, midfield and offensive. And Columbia today looked really not like themselves.
Ref was awful. Thiago Silva, Julio Cesar and Zuniga should have been sent off. And that free kick was bogus.
Is it only me or Cesar should be under shower by now..
C'MOOONN! ! ! ! ! !! ! !
REF always with the home side

@DutchDelight That's the second legitimate goal that has been disallowed against Brazil. First Croatia now Colombia.
typical, brazil can only get through with help from the ref. and the fans in the stadium think their team has "skill". pathetic
@Thewhiteboi72 Pretty sure all Brazilians realize this team is nowhere near as talented, as a matter of fact they all think that.
Fernandinho had 4 reckless tackles in the first half and got away with all of them. James Rodriguez barely touches Hulk and he gets a yellow with his first tackle. I give up.
typical, brazil can only get through with help from the ref. and the fans in the stadium think their team has "skill". pathetic
David Luiz OP.
what a dumb fuck Thiago Silva :))
YES their backbone wont play the next match if they qualify, cmon colombia
Such a shame , daylight robbery with refs in brazils favour.
Why Gutierrez with strikers like ramos, Martinez and bacca??
@Tom1759 Martinez isn't good, Ramos doesn't have Pékerman's trust, and Teó scored 5 goals in qualification, it's not like they're playing Ibarbo up front.
Fernandinho has been marking James UFC-style. How is it possible for him not to have a yellow card?
Referees have favored Brazil all tournament long, i'm literally begging for Colombia to score 2 quickfire goals.
Referee is very much in favour of Brazil, again. Should have given Fernandinho and Paulinho a yellow card, wall at free kick wasn't 9 meters and just now obvious foul from Luiz and yellow card. Such a pity, why does it have to be like this..
Shouldn't David Luiz have the assist?
Statistics shows everything ,, brasil is going to have easy meal as said,, i predicted brasil win 3:1 but now im going to apologise and correct myself,, 3:0 for GREAT BRASIL
How are u doing guys,, i told everyone here, brasil is master,,,,brasil champions,, come guys just tell me how are you doing :))))
great first half. hope to see something more from Colombia when Brazil gets tired
that first goal was a present - very cheap
@benchmark04 ikr horrific defending.
BRA 1-1 COL
Missing of Brazil would be disaster for FIFA, so "THEY" will decide the winner
@Footballamania THEY HAVE PLANS BUT THE FORCE WILL DEMOLISH IT
James>Neymar
I am quite hoping Colombia will dispose of Brazil to open up this Cup to new exciting contenders.
Cuadrado-Jackson-James will destroy Brazil !!!
@AndreyNosatii hahahaha
All eyes on James , hope you lifts up colombia and ends our repugnance towards this brazil team. I hope refs dont support brazil like they always did
Luiz Gustavo is a Huge miss for Brazil
@Titou14 let's see how Brazil will manage his loss...
brazil to win 2-1 after extra time
In terms of performance, Colombia may be the most dangerous team Brazil has faced (and might face) in this World Cup. Colombia has played an organized attacking football and have been one of the most (if not the most) consistent team in this World Cup. I think that if Brazil survives Colombia they can play toe-to-toe with the other teams they might face till the final.
Brazil win on penalty shootout
2-1 for colombia only if fifa allow them to win because if brazil leave the world cup fifa will have a huge loose
at this world cup, brazil was in crappy form, unless they improve I'm sure as hell it won't be a surprise to see colombia go for a win in 90 mins. They killed until now and are showing signs of more of the same.
Scolari got dammit, play Neymar at the front.... Fred and Jo cant handle the pressure
@bajenake Fred is a swivel not a traditional striker. If they can't play him as a distributor then I agree, he's largely a waste.
brasil 1 - 2 columbia or columbia wins in penalty shotout
brasil 3 : 1 colombia
@alitavassoli Brazil have seen under 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 matches against Colombia in all competitions, as above so brasil 3 : 1 colombia unlikely score.
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 true

Colombia can win if the refs allow them to.
1-1 mungkin
1-2
France/Belgium/Colombia/Netherlands, to be the top 4 Please. Final: France vs Belgium Result: Belgium 3-1 France.
@AstroGuy I believe Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup final will see different teams involved.
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 Hope so, I want A new Deserving winner. Or France who won once at least.
Brazil>Chile>Colombia... Brazil will win along the lines of 3-1 in my opinion. Their next true test is France/Germany.
@HandofGod I believe the scoreline is unrealistic base on the stats available. Brazil v Colombia has seen a draw in previous four international meetings: 15-11-2012 Brazil 1 : 1 Colombia 16-10-2008 Brazil 0 : 0 Colombia 14-10-2007 Colombia 0 : 0 Brazil 14-10-2004 Brazil 0 : 0 Colombia Also note that Brazil played Home three from four meetings, this is meaningful.

@HandofGod I am certain Colombia is on the way to be the new face in South American football, and heck what a start!
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 they are the ones actually taking the advantage of south american soil.
@HandofGod The only games valid to look at are the 3 last games, since many players that will play tomorrow played those games. (The other games had other players.) 2 of those 3 matches were world cup qualifiers.

@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 there is no chance for any team to steal cup from great brasil,,brasil is always brasil mate

@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 it makes easier to win if they play Argentinian style,,, Argentina always played a looser role when confronting brasil
@alitavassoli Just wait and see!
@MeladT did u see:)))))
@MeladT we'll see
Colombia, do us all a favour and beat Brazil.
@TheFactsProvider It is more like, it is overdue and ready to happen.
I go for a draw
I think colombia can win this match because they are better than cheli in attack but I am sure that the reffree s will take brazil to final
@abderrahmen27 dude it's Chile and yeah Brazil will get to d final through Fifa's help

Brasil 3-1

@pablo.fernandes.18294 exactly
2-3 ! Columbia to do what we're waiting for !
@commandozap Very possible and as millions around the world expect.
Colombia can win
@darius.svilys but they won't
@HandofGod Colombia make it all the way to the final on July 13th there won’t be the same negative sentiment because the truth is that 'Los Cafeteros' have been the best team at the finals so far.
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 hmmmm.... what was that?
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 "so far"
@WinnerFIFABrazil2014 so far...
@darius.svilys Can but referees wouldn't allow that and help 4 Brazil
@kreizi It is worth remembering that life bans have already been given by FIFA for “repeated violations” of the ethics code relating to “conflicts of interest.”
Colombia to WIN---> 0-1
@Dragonz91 this is the brazil's last game
@Dragonz91 For some reason I have the same score in my mind, we will see.
This is the part where the host team takes their leave from the worldcup and go "home". I expect Columbia to breeze through this match. 2-0
@FaizanBaig1 I actually sent a text message to a friend and Chilean's supporter when they were facing a match versus Defending World Cup champion Spain and 2010 World Cup champion who were defeated at Maracana Stadium 2-0 by the persistent Chileans.
@FaizanBaig1 silly
Vamos COLOMBIA a hacer historia ;)
@MILAN7 Colombia surely is in the mix.
