A new low for British football SOTY , sorry but you cant be excused for this prejudice gentlemen , you've been plummetting by raising your glass towards english football and mourinho subservience subtly ignoring spanish football and putting up pseudo-image of its vitality to you?
No preview for the main game and preview for shallow boring talentless epl matches? Surely you've outdone your worth whoscored. Wrong decision joining this biased site
San Lorenzo prez is crying over appointment of probably the best referee in the world right now , pedro proenca , just because he is portuguese. Its evident San Lorenzo are here to just make the noise because they sure arent confident of their abilities to overcome Madrid's quality. If you can't believe you can do something , you never will and you will always creep into excuses. Thats half the game won there.
Walter Lopez is favourite now to take the whistle.
You can only successfully manage big egos when you treat them like one of your own , like your own family , Carlo has successfully done that. Such treatment gives you extra positive inspiration to break the barriers which you wont be able to do under a mercenary coach like Mourinho.
The only issue here is for them not to underestimate their opponents because as we saw in the game vs Cruz Azul, there were times that Real Madrid got lucky, especially with the penalty saved by Casillas. I expect San Lorenzo to take a defensive approach to this game, trying to hit Real Madrid on the counter and from set pieces. It will be up to Ronaldo and co to take their chances and settle the game early or risk making it a cracking game with the ball going back and forth ....which we know is a very dangerous game to play. I expect Casillas to keep a clean sheet or maybe concede a goal and Real scoring 2-4 goals.
@Turan Cruz were wasteful in front of goal else we would have been put through much needed test. San Lorenzo can provide that with typical south american grit and flair
San Lorenzo are not in the best possible shape. They went as 2nd through their group and they won most of the games in the play offs with a goals diffrence. In the league they are in the middle of the table amassing more defeats then victories. In the game against Auckland they had to play extra time to get through to the final and taking into account Real Madrid played their game a day earlier and with no extra time, it means the legs of the San Lorenzo players are going to be abit heavier then those of Real Madrid, who a game every 3-4 days anyway. All this is pointing towards Real Madrid becoming champions. To add to that, Real Madrid are on a 21 game winning streak with their confidence high, with their players free scoring and creating chances not to mention their ability to hurt other teams from all possible situations, be it set pieces, counter attacks, individual skill, one-two's, long shots, down the middle, down the flanks and what not.
@Turan All you said is true .... but i have only a small objection which is : Have you watched this !Cup last year ? Raja casablanca for exemple against Auckland , monterry and even Against Meneiro ? they were playing with emotions this kind of matches means everything for those underrated clubs especially when they're playing against big Overrated teams
Finally Real Madrid Have to Win this Cup , Im Moroccan Im Gonna Support them , I've Tickets and i traveled From My city Agadir to Marrakesh to watch this game
Hala Madrid
@commandozap If Real Madrid were to win this game, they can equalize the record if they beat Valencia away (League 4th Jan) and Atletico away (Copa Del Rey 7th Jan), or even break it if they beat Espanyol at home too (League 10th Jan).
Logic dictates that Ancelotti will field his strongest XI for this, thus i expect a starting lineup looking like this: Casillas,Carvajal,Pepe,Ramos,Marcelo,Bale,Isco,Kroos,James,Ronaldo,Benzema. Ramos got subbed off and looked to be complaining about some muscle injury in the match against Cruz Azul but didnt seem injured enough for one to think he will miss the game. James have trained with the team and depending on his fitness he is expected to start ahead of Illara and Khedira. If James is not fit then Illara will compete with Khedira for the spot.
No detailed coverage!!? MLS is more important than this retards? :O
This team is dirtier than Atlético :D
@Ala well spotted :D

Where the quack is preview of todays best game & a final?
With Pope Francis being San Lorenzo’s most famous supporter, Ramos facetiously declared that “Real Madrid is the team of God”
no match preview for the final ? come on whoscored !!!
Florentino Pérez travelled to Morocco with Modric to support the team in the Club World Cup final

@soul_snatcher This is very true! Carlo is truly the man for Real Madrid. I hope they continue this good form they have the moment.
700th game for Casillas.

@Turan Some teams rise on the ocassion , san lorenzo is one of them just like dortmund this season in CL. 24 games is a world record by brazilian team
