- New Flu boss Enderson Moreira is unlikely to make wholesale changes for his first game in charge.
- Vinícius could come into the starting XI after netting on opening weekend.
- Marlon is still away with Brazil's U20s.
- Timão coach Tite could be without Jádson, who is struggling to shake off a knock.
- If he doesn't make it, there should be starts for Petros and Renato Augusto.
- Emerson Sheik should be in the squad despite his future remaining uncertain.
Fluminense is a shell of themselves in regards to the two national championships they won. Half of their team, by and large, has been mixed up with fair-to-poor quality reinforcements and younger development players. Certainly, there are some goods remaining-- namely Cavalieri, Jean, Fred, Wagner, and Gum but the team itself is not currently playing a very cohesive futebol. Fluminense are in some financial trouble lately as well, just this week it was announced that player salaries would be paid out late. Further, they were lucky in taking 3 points from a 10-man Joinville-- a team only recently promoted to the Serie A. Most recently they were annihilated by a strong Atletico-MG. Although Corinthians looked utterly lost in the last outings of their Libertadores campaign, in which they were ousted, they've been playing teams of higher caliber and have a more well-rounded team overall. GK Cassio is the only concern as he had some muscular pains in training this week.
