2 un-Koeman-like performances in Soton's games thus far. He looked livid on the bench so the players aren't carrying out his orders. It highlights how good Clyne and Bertrand were last year too when you see so much space available out wide. I still think they will finish the season with a top 4 defensive record and finish 7th overall. The 3 subs today need to be regular starters though imo if that 's to happen. There have been some peculiar performances from most teams so far this season. Something in the water?
Everton defended well, but I don't think they're as good as this result suggests. Southampton were poor. It's a mystery why Martinez persists with Cleverley when they have Mirallas and Deulofeu. Cleverley has made a Premier League career out of doing nothing noteworthy for 90 minutes. Remarkable.
@What4 Cleverley's been great for us so far, he's like another McCarthy with better long range passing and a little less tenacious. When we play a midfield diamond like we did against Southampton him and McCarthy are great at breaking up play and feeding the forwards. Apart from that, Mirallas is injured and Deulofeu is coming back from injury, which is why they didn't play a big part.
Cheeky 1-2 for Everton is my prediction, Mirallas should start over Naismith if he's fit enough, he'll score one and Barkley. For S'hampton id say Pellé. MotM Barkley
Saints had tough last week and players playing in thursday and than on Sunday looked tired but this week they are rested and roaring to go. Match fitness must be on Saints side. saints dominate Everton in all areas. Saints win

surprising result, the defense of Everton was very consistent than last season where not only took away goal in the first 19 matches.

I agree with the Whoscored prediction, Southampton has a good team, maybe 2-0 or 3-1.
I think a score draw. Everton will be better this week.

Both teams looked shaky at the back last week 1-1
